About Rochester Dance Company

Rochester Dance Company (RDC), located in Byron, Minnesota, was founded in 2000 with a mission to cultivate passionate young dancers and provide them with opportunities to shine in professional-quality productions. RDC offers a comprehensive program emphasizing serious training, with a strong focus on developing classical ballet technique. Their curriculum also encompasses a wide range of styles including Acrobatic Arts, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Modern dance. The studio prepares dancers for high-level performance opportunities through its competition teams and stages two major productions each season, including their signature annual Nutcracker. The company is structured into Apprentice, Junior, Senior, and Pre-Professional levels, fostering a supportive environment where older dancers serve as role models. The company is currently under the guidance of new co-Artistic Directors Daniel Klinkhammer and Morgan. Daniel Klinkhammer, a Rochester native and former RDC company member, brings extensive experience from training in gymnastics and diverse dance forms. Morgan holds a BFA in Dance and has a strong background in various styles. Both instructors are committed to enriching the local dance community and enriching the studio's offerings. Parents and guardians contribute significantly through the Rochester Dance Company Associates, supporting costume construction, stage management, fundraising, and event coordination for elaborate theatrical performances.
