Classes

Lyra Calico

This is an Advanced lyra class which will cover more dynamic moves, drops, and tricks in the spanset. Participants will learn dyanmic drops and flips on and off of the hoop as well as more in depth spanset work. Various rolls will be taught in this class and participants should expect to learn a mastery of moving around the hoop and stringing together advanced tricks.

Lyra Cat

In Lyra Cat you will continue expanding on the poses learned in Lyra Tabby while learning more advanced mounts, poses on the top of the hoop, and basic drops. More difficult transitions will be introduced as participants grow their vocabulary of strength and flexibility moves while establishing clean mounts that do not use assists. Sample tricks from our Cat syllabus include: Clock Split, Figure 4 Layback, Beats, Delilah on Spanset, and Inverted Man in the Moonnnnnn

Lyra Tabby

This is a more advanced beginning level lyra class that will cover poses under the hoop with less points of contact, in the hoop, as well as poses utilizing the top bar. Learn more advanced combinations between your tricks and develop more confidence performing them while spinning. Participants will gain confidence in their transitions through different areas of the hoop as well as in performing combinations with more spin. Sample tricks from our Tabby syllabus include: Split Under the Bar, Side Amazon, Front Balance, Contortion Roll Up, Scarabs, Poisson, Shoulder Stands, and Chest Stands

Lyra Kitten

This class will cover basic skills on the lyra, or aerial hoop. You will learn how to mount the hoop, basic sitting poses, poses below the hoop, and combinations to string them together. No experience is required, and students may join this class at any time. Legging are recommended for this class.

Wag Your Tail - Twerk Class

Get your booty bouncing, shaking, isolating, and more with this class open to all levels! Learn various twerk techniques from a certified instructor and different sets of choreography to string it all together.

Prowling Pumas - Floorwork

This class is geared toward all levels of floorwork. Learn both tricks and combinations of movement off the pole and on the floor in this all level class. Progressions of crawls, rolls, leg patterns, transitions, and heel work will be taught to learn to dance without a pole and take your floorwork to the next level. Pants or legwarmers are strongly recommended and knee pads are encouraged. Heels typically recommended but not required.

Acro Low Flow

This is an advanced level low flow class focused on basework and dancing around the lower portion of the pole, with a focus on acrobatic style movement. Participants should be comfortable with inversions, leg hangs, and pole assisted handstands to take this class.

Pawgraphy Classes: Bad Kitty, Good Kitty, Declawed, Lyra

Bad Kitty: This is a sexy pole choreography class that will focus on learning different choreography with bi-weekly routines. This class challenges your brain as well as your body as you learn to dance your pole tricks set to a song. We recommend taking 3-4 Tabby level classes prior to signing up for Bad Kitty Pawgraphy. Heels are typically recommended for this class. Good Kitty: This is a contemporary pole choreography class that will combine contemporary dance movement with pole choreography. Each class will consist of a dance based warm up, a movement combination moving across the floor, and a bi-weekly routine on the pole. We recommend taking 3-4 Tabby level classes prior to signing up for Good Kitty Pawgraphy. Socks are often helpful on the feet. Declawed: This is an all-level pole choreography class that focuses on the movement around the pole rather than the tricks. Each class will discuss basic skills needed and learn a bi-weekly routine. Lyra: This class will teach you a bi-weekly routine on the lyra, stringing together poses in the hoop as well as on the floor around it. This class is open to all levels, but we recommend taking 3-4 Kitten level classes prior to signing up for Lyra Pawgraphy.

Power Panther - Strength & Conditioning

Power Panther is a conditioning based class that works both and and off the poles with different drills and/or circuits to strengthen your body for pole work. This class is open to all levels will have material and variations to benefit each individual wherever they may be. Each month will have a different target focus.

Flexy Felines - Stretch & Flexibility

Stretch & flexibility classes are open to all levels. Different variations and stretching goals will be provided for all participants depending on your personal level of flexibility. Each class will target different areas of the body to improve flexibility. Whether you are looking to touch your toes or fold in half backwards, your instructor will help you reach your goals.

Pole Low Flow

This class is open to all levels and is a flow class focused on basework and dancing around the lower portion of the pole. Participants should have taken a few pole classes before taking this class.

Mixed Levels

Mixed level classes are open for any Tabby and above level participants to attend. Each individual will be taught different level-appropriate skills and combinations in the class that match their current skill set and progression. Please note that if there is a leveled class offered the same day that is appropriate for your level, it is best to sign up for the leveled class.

Pole Tigress

Pole Tigress is an ongoing advanced level to continually push particiapnts' skills, incorporating many of the newest pole tricks and transitions. You will learn challenging strength moves, advanced tumbles and drops, deadlifts, and more. Pole Calico (level 4)

In the Pole Calico level, you will learn different aerial inversions, more advanced transitions on and off the pole, and different repel moves. You will start to master inverted poses with two points of contact and will be building longer aerial combinations on the pole on both static and spin. Sample tricks from our Calico syllabus include: Spinning shoulder mounts, Brass monkeys, Machine Guns, Caterpillar climbs, Ayeshas (all grips), and Aerial shoulder mounts.

Pole Cat (Level 3)

In Pole Cat, participants will learn to ascend into different inverted pole from the floor and descend into them aerially. You will continue learning more advanced floorwork, transitions, and climbs, and combinations. At this level you should feel confident in your own style of movement around the pole and will start finding variations that are specific to your goals and body type. Sample tricks from our Cat syllabus include: Butterflies, Jade Splits, Juliet Spins, Reverse Grab variations, Shoulder Mounts

Pole Tortie (level 2.5)

In Pole Tortie, participants will expand upon their climbing knowledge, aerial transitions, and learn basic inverted poses. You will learn single arm spins on static, begin to change your torso orientation in spin pole spins, different types of climbs, and master your basic leg hangs. At this level you will gain confidence in changing your torso orientation from upright to upside down while on the pole as you learn inverted poses that use knee and thigh grip points. You will also gain more comfort with pole transitions and start to harness your own pole style with movement and freestyle.

Pole Tabby (Level 2)

In Pole Tabby, participants will expand upon their basic spins, transitions, and floorwork from Pole Kitten. You will learn basic climbs up the pole, how to transition between poses aerially on the pole, become comfortable with spinner pole, smooth out transitions to and from the floor and around the pole, and master many seated release and upright poses. Sample tricks from our Tabby syllabus include: Back Attitude Spin, Front Hook to Back Hook Spin, Jasmine Spin, Wrist Sit, Stargazer, No Handed Crossed Knee Release, and Consecutive Climbs.

Pole Kitten (Level 1)

Pole Kitten is our entry level pole class that covers all of the basic techniques on the pole. Participants will learn basic spins, floorwork, transitions, and sitting positions on the pole. You will also learn different combinations to string together the tricks you are working on. You may join this class at any time by signing up here!

Lyra Cat

Our level 1/1.5 class is open for new students as well as those with some experience. Level 1.5 students are expected to know basic mounts, dismounts, and poses.

Kids will be introduced to the basics of aerial hoop including how to mount and dismount the hoop, basic skills under and in the hoop, and short sequences. As they progress to the second half of Level 1 (or start at Level 1.5) they will begin learning skills using the top bar, as well as longer sequences.
