The Whitefish School of Ballet

Designed for anyone 16 and older. All abilities and levels are welcome. This class accepts all levels, from the novice to the pro. Teachers who instruct this class are experts at teaching multiple levels at once so that all needs are met for each individual. This class expertly guides adults through complete barre and center work and flows with traditional ballet music and the occasional surprise music choice! Adults leave each class feeling amazing and inspired to take on life with a new sense of grace and power! Adults have fun both perfecting their skills or learning ballet as a newbie. Adults will relish feeling elegant while pushing their bodies and minds to gain increased flexibility and strength with each class. We support one another to reach milestones that were never before imagined! This class is fun and inspiring, and a breath of fresh air from the gym.

Designed for new Mom’s and their infants. Mommy and Me classes are a great way to bond with your baby while encouraging healthy motor development. A young brain grows at a fascinating rate. Developing motor skills goes hand in hand with cognitive development. As you spend tummy time with your infant, you’ll roll and crawl together, developing their motor planning, problem-solving, and pattern recognition skills.

Designed for new Moms and their infants Whitefish ballet is thrilled to teach Mommy and Me infant ballet classes. Our class is a great way for Moms to bond with their babies. Our infant class encourages healthy motor development in your baby. A young brain grows at a fascinating rate. Mommy and Me Ballet is a beautiful way to help expand your baby’s growing brain while engaging closely together. In this class, you’ll laugh and smile together as you roll and crawl in a safe environment. Bond with your baby while developing motor planning, problem-solving, and pattern recognition skills. Developing motor skills goes hand in hand with cognitive development. Tummy time develops strong neck and shoulder muscles and promotes motor skills. These motor skills build strength for sitting up, rolling over, crawling, and walking.

The Tots Ballet Class is pre-ballet, designed as an introduction to our Level 1 Ballet Class. This class uses playful and magical music that children ages 4 to 6 will love! Kids enrolled in this class will use their imagination while they learn floor and barre work. Tots enrolled in this class often advance to Level 1 Ballet quickly.

This class is pre-ballet, designed as an introduction to the level 1 class. Most of our students begin advancing into the execution of structured level 1 ballet moves very soon after beginning this class. This class utilizes playful and magical music to do tactile work, incorporating imagination, floor, and barre work. Children gain a sense of elegance, imagination, teamwork, and self-sufficiency to be carried over into Level 1. These children experience a lot of “firsts” and create memories to last a lifetime!

Kids, ages 6 -10. This class is the beginning level of an intense and precisely executed eight-year Russian Vaganova training curriculum. The students are typically between seven and ten years of age. With premium training, children in this level work hard and the results are clearly seen! Children are inspired to develop their technique and artistry as they sharpen their skills in this amazing class! Students are carefully guided to reach their goals, have fun and be the best they can be. Children are invited to participate in all WF Ballet shows to exhibit to our community and celebrate their growth and all the wonderful milestones achieved in this level! Teachers instruct the beginning/basics of foundational ballet, including plies, grand plies, ronds de jambe, petits battements, grand battements, jetés, fondus, echappes, pas de bourrées, sissonnes, and more.

Dance provides an outlet for children of any age to be creative, physical and musical. Our Level 1/2/3 Ballet Classes provide a fun, nurturing, dance program that instills creativity, confidence, and poise. This class is the beginning of an intense, eight-year Vaganova training curriculum. The students are typically between seven and ten years of age. Teachers instruct the beginning/basics of foundational ballet, including plies, grand plies, ronds de jambe, petits battements, grand battements, jetes, fondus, echappes, pas de bourees, sissones, and more.

Ballet Classes Designed for ages 16 and older. All abilities and levels of dance experience are welcome. Many adults dream about taking ballet classes but are intimidated due to lack of experience, or comparing themselves to others. Men and women alike desire the agility they had in their youth. Adult ballet increases agility, muscle strength, and confidence. The social aspect of adult ballet class is visible in how our students feel part of a team. We cheer each other on with our individual progression and each new milestone. This class accepts all levels, the novice, and the pro. Teachers who instruct this class are adept at teaching multiple levels at once so that all needs are met for each individual. This class takes the adult through complete barre and center work and flows with traditional ballet music. Adults have fun, perfecting their skills or learning ballet as a newbie. For the novice, ballet classes are an opportunity to experience feeling elegant as your work your body, ultimately gaining/increasing flexibility with each class.
