Our Intro to Pole Fitness class focuses on the fundamentals of pole. In addition to working on the proper technique for basic positions and spins you will develop your core, flexibility and coordinationon while having a great time.

Pole Fitness Pole Dance or Pole Fitness

class at Shine Alternative Fitness that focuses on the fundamentals of pole dance including inversions, spins, chair dance, heels and pole conditioning. Located near the Las Vegas Strip, Pole Dancing is the perfect class to have a Team Building, Bachelorette Party or fun group experience.

Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Level 2

Continuing the advancement in your Aerial Hoop (Lyra) skills, this class will focus on building your stamina, strength and flexibility with more difficult sequences and transitions. You will be challenged with more advanced conditioning exercises utilizing the aerial hoop (lyra) and will be required to learn longer and more complicated transitions, developing the stamina to work on an aerial routine.

Building on the fundamentals developed in the Intro to Aerial Fitness classes, this class is designed to continue to teach the basics of aerial hoop (lyra) while focusing on building up the core & upper body strength, expanding flexibility levels and improving the body awareness while in the air. Intro to Aerial Fitness

This class is designed to teach the basics of aerial silks and aerial hoop (lyra) in a fun, energetic, and comfortable group class setting. In this class you will learn the basics of the silks (tissue) and hoop (lyra). With silks, you will learn the proper way to grip the silks, wrap the silks into footlocks, safely ascend and descend on the silk and eventually progress into simple poses, inversions and transitions. With hoop (lyra), you will learn the proper grips, balancing on the hoop, entering and exiting the lyra and eventually progress into simple poses, inversions and transitions.

AERIAL HOOP (LYRA)

Aerial Lyra (Hoop) Class at Shine Alternative Fitness that focuses on the fundamentals of aerial techniques designed to increase your flexibility, coordination and develop your upper body, core and grip strength using an aerial hoop.

Handstands Level 2

If you are capable of holding a free standing handstand on the floor without a wall this class is for you. In this class, we focus on advanced technique of hand balancing, deeper strengthening of your core, learning different entrances to handstands (e.g. jumps, straddle-ups, press to handstand), and advancing to one arm handstands.

Aerial Conditioning

Aerial Conditioning is a “bootcamp” like class focusing on strengthening the body and building high levels of endurance using different aerial equipment. This class is all inclusive, regardless of experience level. Be ready to, hang, pull, twist, balance and hold your body in a variety of ways, keeping your brain so engaged you’ll forget you’re even working out! Based off of the principals of the widely successful formula of High Intensity Interval Training, not only are Aerial Conditioning exercises the best way to develop strength and confidence for your other Shine classes but it is also one of the most efficient ways to burn fat and build lean muscle!

AERIAL SILKS LEVEL 2

This class takes developing Aerial Silks skills to a higher level! It is designed for those who are comfortable with ascending and descending on the silk, can perform multiple inversions safely, and has attended Silks 1 classes regularly. You will continue to develop your flexibility and body awareness through more challenging positioning of the fabric, longer and more complicated transitions and will develop the stamina to work on an aerial routine. You will use the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral your body into and out of various positions. Aerial Silks Level 2 will help you gain a high degree of confidence, strength, power, flexibility, courage, and grace.

AERIAL SILKS LEVEL 1

Building on the fundamentals built in the Intro to Aerial Fitness classes, this class is designed to continue to teach the basics of aerial silks while focusing on building up the core & upper body strength, expanding flexibility levels and improving the body awareness while in the air. Intermediate level for those who have already mastered the basic skills and progressions of an Aerial Yoga open class. This class will explore more dynamic sequences, increasing the class flow and difficulty.

Intro to AERIAL YOGA

It is recommended that you take Intro to Aerial Yoga before taking this class. Combining traditional yoga poses, aerial arts, calisthenics, pilates and dance while promoting agility, flexibility and muscular strength. Using a silk hammock as a soft trapeze for resistance and support, participants are suspended in the air for a full-body workout without the stress of holding and balancing challenging yoga poses.

AERIAL YOGA

Aerial Yoga is ideal for the inversion enthusiast! This Aerial Yoga class will vary from the others in that the focus is more on the 'workout' element found in the technique. The zero compression inversions will still be present, while the meditative aspect will not. A student can expect to target major/minor muscle groups, improve their grip strength, balance and hone in on their awareness of body form and positioning as it relates to the plumb line. There will be swinging and trick incorporation in this class.
