The Murray Academy of Irish Dance, located in Exeter, New Hampshire, is a distinguished studio dedicated to the vibrant tradition of Irish step dancing. Founded in 2005 by Anne Murray MacRitchie, TCRG, the academy fosters a supportive environment for dancers of all ages and levels, from pre-beginners (ages 3 ½ to 5) to aspiring champions. Our comprehensive program offers excellent training in both solo and team Irish dancing, emphasizing light and hard shoe techniques, sport, culture, and healthy exercise. From "Pre-Beginner" classes focused on coordination and musicality to competitive "Novice," "Prizewinner," and "Championship" levels, Murray Academy provides a clear progression. Students benefit from rigorous training in technique, performance experience, and competitive opportunities, building self-confidence and life skills. We cultivate a strong sense of community among dedicated teachers, assistant teachers, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students, creating a rewarding experience. The Murray Academy boasts a proven track record of success, with many dancers achieving regional, national, and world-level recognition. Our students have celebrated impressive showings at prestigious events like the Feis, Oireachtas (including the New England Oireachtas), and even qualified for the World Championships, with recent successes noted in Killarney.
