The Newport Ballroom offers a professional dance studio where students can learn from an award-winning instructor. We offer lessons in all levels from beginners to serious competitive training. We will ensure that are students are well-rounded, familiar with expert expectations and ready for whatever path they choose on the dance floor. Whatever your child is looking for, ballroom dancing is a rewarding and exciting hobby for all ages and skill levels.

The Newport Ballroom offers several classes that focus on the technical aspects of dances. Classes are designed to help improve your dance skills no matter what level dancer you are. Beginner to advanced, The Newport Ballroom offers classes that focus on fundamentals, technique and proper execution. Master Classes include Spins & Turns, Frame, Rise & Fall, Arm Styling, Footwork, and The Art of Leading, Following and the Connection of It All, to name a few. Master Classes are one hour in length and pricing is per-class based.

Ladies Night classes are for ladies only and are just FUN FUN FUN! Learn a choreographed routine while making new friends. Have Fun – that’s the only rule here. Learn basic movement and dance rhythms to multiple genres including Country, MTV Pop, Charleston, Broadway, Bollywood, HipHop, 60’s Mod, Burlesque, Disco, and Latin dances just to name a few. No judgement here. We’re all here for the same reasons. Exercise. Fun. Friends. Need we say more?

Looking for something a little more daring or a dance that rivals a Broadway musical? We’ve got that covered too! It’s your day. Let us create something that expresses not only your love for each other but is everything that you are. Our creations take into consideration the dress, the shoes, the floor space and of course the personal meaning. We also choreograph dances for father-daughter, mother-son and the whole wedding party. Or maybe you just want a day with your wedding party to do something fun…we do that too!

Private Dance Lessons are the best way to learn to dance. The Newport Ballroom has instructors that are well versed in several dances and dance styles. Learn at your own pace. Learn at your convenience on your own schedule. Personalized based on your own desires, needs, and dance goals. Keeps it comfortable, fun, and easy. Singles, couples, or groups. Private lessons take your dancing to the next level.

Group classes designed for couples, offered in series of 5 weeks (changing to 4 weeks in 2024). Drop-in rates are available for individuals with or without a partner.

In this 10-session class you will be introduced to the 6 most popular social dances - Salsa, Cha Cha, Waltz, East Coast Swing, Tango, and Foxtrot. You will have a sufficient repertoire to go out dancing right away! You may start at any time during the 10-week series.

Group Dance Lessons are designed to complement private dance lessons. Group lessons reinforce basic fundamentals in a fun, social setting. The Newport Ballroom offers a variety of group lessons in the American, International and Club Styles of dance. Groups meet once per week and each lesson is 45 minutes long. Each dance series is 5 weeks. YOU MUST JOIN DURING THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF A SERIES. Group Dance lessons are an awesome way to learn how to dance and to meet other people. In group lessons we rotate partners giving everyone the opportunity to develop their skills and gain confidence on the dance floor. SINGLES AND COUPLES ARE BOTH WELCOME.
