Arts Around the World

Take a trip across the continents every week in SOTA’s newest course – Arts Around the World! Each class, we will ‘visit’ new nations through cultural activities, songs, dances, and performances. With regular visits from diverse local artists, students will receive firsthand knowledge and understandings of cultural significance and traditions while developing a greater appreciation of the arts and our world.

Puppet Performance Lab

In this fun and exciting new class, students will craft their own puppets out of everyday objects. Students will play a variety of theatre and improv games to create unique puppet characters and use them to tell stories.

SPAC School of the Arts provides dance classes designed for students with autism and any intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. The classes are intended for students ages 9-17, but all ages are welcome to attend. Families and caregivers are also welcome and encouraged to attend.

Musical Theatre Workshop

Do you love to perform on a stage, tell stories, or write songs? Do you want to get involved in theatre but unsure where to begin? This is the class for you. In this course, students will work with teaching artists to create and perform an original piece of musical theatre. Students will collaborate to write dialogue and lyrics, develop characters, and bring their original story to life in front of an audience at the end of the semester.
