Tango Fusion Dance Company

Tango Fusion Dance Company – Directors Johnny Martinez and Diane Lachtrupp Martinez offer four distinct educational programs in partner dancing.

Student groups will bus to the National Museum of Dance and enjoy the experience of taking a dance class in a large professional dance studio. Students learn several different partner dances as well a choreogpaphy to a favorite song of their choice.

We offer two different 3 to 5 day long residencies. INTENSIVE – Company Directors come to your school for three to five days to work with a selected group of students on several dances. WORKSHOP SERIES – In our three to five day residency, we work with all the students in the school once or twice.

We can come to your educational institution to purely entertain with one of our various shows. Tango Fusion's lecture demo show includes history about a variety of dances, interactive musicality, professional demonstrations of each dance and finally the dance number "Design Your Own Dance."

Diane and Johnny Martinez offer private lessons in the following dances: Argentine Tango, Salsa, Mambo, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Lindy, Hustle, Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Merengue, American Tango, Paso Doble and Peabody. They also offer private lessons in ballet and jazz..

Sometimes a group of people decide to design their own class. They can choose their dances and times that work for all participants

Private lessons are simply a great way to learn OR they may be getting ready for the big day and need to choreograph their wedding dance.

Private Lessons are just that. They are one teacher working in a private room with either one student or a couple. They are designed to work with your schedule, your dance desires and your pace of learning.

Beginner & Int./Adv. Salsa/ Salsa Reuda classes offered on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.

All day dancing with Tango Fusion Company Directors Johnny Martinez and Diane Lachtrupp come to the school for a day to work with a variety of classes on a dance. Instructors will give some history on the dance, work with students on musicality, step patterns, partnership and end with a demonstration.

Two hours of class time and a half hour practice session. The workshop will focus on helping the advanced beginner and intermediate student to consistently and smoothly dance an entire song using a variety of patterns in the close embrace.

In addition to working with their age group, campers will also select a category, either singing, dancing or acting and work with one of the directors more intensely, to take their skills and experience to another level.

During the day the campers enjoy singing classes, jazz classes, musical theater choreography classes, acting classes and the experience of putting it all together into a production number.

Each summer Triple Threat Theater Camp selects a musical and creates a tribute that includes 8 musical numbers from the musical and acting scenes as well. We write the scripts, based on the musical, and ensure that each camper has the same size role.
