Leatherstocking Ballet, Inc. and School of Dance, located in Utica, New York, is a nonprofit regional dance company and full school established in 1994. Dedicated to fostering a strong interest and development in the performing arts for children aged 3 to 18 from the Mohawk Valley, the organization offers a diverse range of dance education. Their comprehensive curriculum includes instruction in Ballet, adhering to the esteemed Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from beginner through advanced levels. Acrobatics classes are taught using the Acrobatic Arts certified syllabus, and the school features a Progressing Ballet Technique certified instructor. Additional programs highlight styles such as Tap and Acro-Jazz, specifically designed for ages 5-12. Leatherstocking Ballet emphasizes inclusivity, encouraging participation from students of various cultural backgrounds and providing opportunities for them to engage in organized productions and artistic activities.
