Our Pre-Professional Dance Program is an audition-only track designed for students who are ready to commit to intensive training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and beyond. The program builds a strong technical foundation while fostering artistry, discipline, and performance skills. Students train in a supportive but rigorous environment that prepares them for the demands of college dance programs and potential professional careers, while also nurturing their love for dance. With multiple levels, the program meets dancers where they are and provides a clear pathway for growth and achievement

Our Hip Hop program is high-energy, engaging, and fun, offering students the chance to explore the foundations of Hip Hop dance in a supportive environment. Classes focus on musicality, coordination, and personal style, while introducing a wide range of movements and combinations. Whether a beginner or experienced dancer, students will build confidence, rhythm, and performance skills—all while having a great time.

Our Contemporary program blends elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance to give students a dynamic and expressive outlet. Classes focus on movement quality and exploring a dancer’s individual artistry. Students are introduced to improvisation, giving them the freedom to create and discover their own voice through movement, while continuing to build strong technique and control. Contemporary is a wonderful way for dancers to connect deeply with music and artistry, balancing discipline with creativity.

Our Tap program combines rhythm, precision, and creativity, giving dancers the tools to become both musicians and movers. Students develop strong musicality, timing, and coordination while learning a range of tap styles, from Broadway to rhythm tap. Classes focus on building a clear foundation of technique while encouraging personal style and performance flair.

Our Jazz program blends strong technical training with the freedom of expressive movement. Students build flexibility, strength, and musicality while exploring a variety of styles, from classic Broadway-inspired jazz to contemporary trends. Classes focus on proper alignment, coordination, and performance quality, creating a strong foundation for dancers to grow with confidence and versatility.

At HVC, we are proud to follow the CPYB (Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet) syllabus, known for its excellence in classical ballet training. This carefully designed curriculum provides young dancers with a strong technical foundation while offering a clear and progressive path into more advanced and challenging work as they grow. Our ballet program not only builds strength, discipline, and artistry but also nurtures a lifelong appreciation for the beauty of the art form.

This upbeat class is perfect for young dancers eager to explore both jazz and tap. In just one hour, students build a solid foundation in each style, learning rhythm, musicality, and movement vocabulary that will prepare them for upper-level jazz and tap classes. It’s a fun and engaging way to grow as a well-rounded dancer.
