Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes. A dancer is said to be en pointe when the dancer’s body is supported in this manner, and a fully extended vertical foot is said to be en pointe when touching the floor, even when not bearing weight.

We offer dedicated ballet classes for all ages as well as ballet combo classes with tap, jazz, and/or tumbling. Pointe classes are available for students who have extensive ballet training and at the discretion of the instructor.

Artistic Motion ballet instructors ensure all students from beginner to advanced learn proper alignment and professional technique. We specialize in the Vaganova method and also offer classes in the Cecchetti method for our more experienced, technical ballet dancers.
