Classes

Adult Classes

Our adult classes are constructed for ages 18 and up. They are multi-level classes aimed at a range of skill sets and experience. Lots of modifications are available and our talented instructors will meet you where you’re at in your dance journey.

Pom Squad Cheer

Our Pom classes are fun and upbeat! This class is designed to help young dancers find their own voices and confidence. Our instructors will lead dancers through a variety of strength and stamina exercises and many cheers. The dancers get the chance to dance with Pom Poms and build friendships with dancers around them.

Technique

This class focuses on development of strength and foundational dance technique. Dancers will be pushed hard mentally and physically and challenged in their stamina and execution. Serious dancers or dancers looking to improve their level should be in technique class.

Hip Hop

A high-energy class – it develops strength, endurance, and rhythm, by learning the latest hip choreography from the hottest music videos and current leaders in the genre. Dancers will warm-up with simple movements, isolations, stretches, followed by across the floor progressions and choreography. This class also covers floor-work and simple tricks and freezes.

Jazz

Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz to help develop a well-rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on technique and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Tap

Our tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles, exercises, and choreography. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Ballet

Our ballet classes stress correct placement (body alignment), and correct classical ballet technique. Students will learn ballet fundamentals and terminology while developing strength, confidence, balance, and flexibility. Our program is designed to develop grace, flexibility, and coordination. It teaches classical ballet techniques, which include barre work, ballet stretches, center work, variations, and choreography. Class level is determined by the instructor, and is based on an individual assessment when the student takes a trial class. All students receive corrections during class to help them advance.

Acro/Gymnastics

Our Acro classes (a lot like gymnastics without the beams and bars) are designed to build strength, stamina, and endurance through a variety of acro skills, exercises, and warm-ups. Our Acro instructors teach dancers a variety of acrobatic tricks and skills that require persistence. Dancers set goals and work continuously towards them over the course of the class. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. We recommend that new dancers start in our beginning level acro classes where they will learn and practice key acro skills.

Lyrical/Contemporary

This class develops lyrical and contemporary styles through a variety of combinations and exercises. Dancers will learn new pieces often and will perform a lot during this class.

Tiny Tumblers

Our tiny tumbler program prepares students by teaching them body awareness, balance, plyometric, basic floor tumbling skills, and class etiquette. Tiny Tumblers will learn creative play, strength and stamina exercises, and movement combinations.

Tiny Hip Hoppers

This class is fun and high energy! Dancers will learn basic movement, freedom of expression, the art of freestyle, musicality, and class etiquette. They will have fun warming up, stretching, doing isolations, and learning essential hip hop techniques. We will go across the floor and learn choreography.

Tap/Jazz

This class will introduce dancers to both tap and jazz. For the first part of class, dancers will learn basic tap techniques, steps, and combinations that will encourage rhythm, and coordination. Part way through the class, dancers will change shoes and learn jazz steps, body shapes, movements, stretches, and have fun dancing to upbeat kids songs.

Pre-Ballet

This class exposes the student to a formal ballet class as well as to establish the acceptable classroom behavior. Basic ballet skills, terminology, rhythm, and coordination are taught, practiced, and developed through creative movement, music, and mime in a supportive and supervised environment.

Dance Party!

This class is designed for our youngest dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. Dancers will have fun learning movement to popular children’s music through singing and movement games. Props such as, hula-hoops, scarfs and bean bags are used to enhance the learning experience. During the year, opportunities for motor development, movement exploration, creative play, and problem solving are given in directed activities. Our program is designed to gently introduce the young student to the discipline that will be required for study as well as to provide fun activities for learning basic dance elements.

Ballet

We started our daughter in ballet when she was 5. It was amazing to watch our very timid shy daughter go into her beginners ballet class and come out with her head held high and a smile from ear to ear!
