AC Dance Academy

Musical theatre jazz is a combination of traditional jazz movements and theatrical storytelling. Going beyond our basic dance steps, we’ll add an extra element by incorporating acting and character development through our dancing. Taking inspiration from Broadway Classics and New Age Legends, Musical Theatre Jazz will be a great opportunity to have fun, push limits, and experiment with stepping into many different characters’ shoes! May be taken as a single class or as part of a combination class.

When the rhythm takes you over and you can't help but tap your feet. That's the feeling you get when you take a tap class at ACDA. A spirited, very rhythmic form of dancing beloved by all ages and many generations.

Join Andie for a funky and fresh dance class. Move to popular hip-hop music and learn a very trendy, very popular dance style.

"Jazz Hands," "All that Jazz," Fozzie..it's all relative! Our Jazz classes are fun and energetic and allow the dancer to create a style of jazz dance all their own.

Our contemporary prepare dancers to relate to music and move in a style which is very satisfying to the mind, body and soul of the dancer.

Ballet is the basis for all dancing. It is where the most technical elements of dance training are learned and perfected. Each level ballet class will learn proper technique and terminology for their age and ability levels.

This class level welcomes new students and experienced students of the designated age group. Level 3 performs a ballet, tap and jazz routines which they will perform at the annual dance recital. Also, students from this level will be offered the opportunity to participate in a contemporary dance class which will also turn out an additional dance for the annual recital. Students at this level are offered THREE additional 'elective' classes: SR HIP HOP, SR CONTEMPORARY and MUSICAL THEATER JAZZ.

Students learn new dance terminology and choreography. This group will learn a ballet, tap and jazz dance to perform in the annual dance recital. Also, students from this level will be offered the opportunity to participate in a contemporary dance class which will also perform an additional dance for the annual recital. Students at this level are offered TWO additional 'elective' class: JR HIP HOP & JR CONTEMPORARY.

Students learn new dance terminology and choreography. This class is composed of 30 minutes of ballet, tap and jazz. Students will learn a ballet, tap and jazz dance to perform in the annual dance recital. Students at this level are offered an additional 'elective' class: INTERMEDIATE HIP HOP.

The Dancing Divas class instills proper technique and terminology for ballet, tap and jazz dance. Students will learn 3 separate dances to perform at the annual ACDA dance recital. Students at this level are offered an additional 'elective' class: MINI HIP HOP.

As students grow, so will their knowledge and love for dance. Our Shining Stars class teaches students proper dance classroom etiquette while expanding the student's knowledge of ballet, tap and jazz dance. Jazz dance is introduced at this level. Students will learn 3 separate dances to perform at the annual ACDA dance recital. Students at this level are offered an additional 'elective' class: MINI HIP HOP.

These toddlers start learning the vocabulary of ballet and tap dance in a fun and energetic classroom setting. This class offers an introduction to ballet, tap, and basic stretching. Students will learn a ballet and tap dance number to perform in the annual dance recital. Students at this level are offered an additional 'elective' class: ACRO. Students must be potty trained.

These toddlers start learning the vocabulary of ballet and tap and across dance in a fun and energetic classroom setting. This class offers an introduction to ballet, tap, and basic stretching. Students will learn a ballet and tap dance number to perform in the annual dance recital. Students at this level are offered an additional 'elective' class: ACRO. Students must be potty trained.
