Visions Dance Company

Acro at Visions is divided into levels based on age and skill level at the time of entry. Students are welcome to take multiple classes at their level or below. Please contact us for placement inquiries.

Students will blend ballet, modern and jazz together in this unique and expressive dance form. Floor work, jumps/leaps and turns will be incorporated into this class routine.

Students will explore Modern technical foundations of spiral, fall, recover, contract, release and expand as it relates to dynamics and emotion. Students will be introduced to different classical modern techniques including Graham, Limon, Cunningham, and Horton. Students will also begin improvisational exercises. This class will perform a Modern piece for the Showcase.

This class focuses on developing rhythm and coordination. Components of both Broadway and Rhythm Tap will be introduced and perfected. This class will focus on musicality as well as executing tap movements with speed and accuracy. This class will perform a Tap number for the end of the year Showcase.

This class focuses on developing the technique of students already familiar with Jazz technique. Students will concentrate on improving their performance quality and executing more advanced leaps and turns. This class will perform a Jazz piece for the end of the year Showcase.

This class is for students already experienced with Ballet technique. Students will concentrate on proper execution of advanced Ballet movements with an emphasis on leaps and turns. This class will perform a Ballet piece for the end of the year Showcase.

This class is designed for students who already have a strong technical base to master expressive movement. Students will work on fluidity through movement as well as dynamics in both ballet and jazz skills. This class includes turns, leaps, body and spatial awareness. This class will perform a lyrical piece for the end of the year Showcase.

This class focuses on developing the technique of students already familiar with Jazz technique. Students have shown an elevated focus and execution of skills in their previous classes. They will concentrate on improving their performance quality and executing more advanced technical skills. This class will perform a Jazz piece for the end of the year Showcase.

This class is for students already experienced with Ballet technique and showing strong focus and skills in their previous ballet classes. Students will concentrate on proper execution of Ballet movements with an emphasis on leaps, turns, and control. This class will perform a Ballet piece for the end of the year Showcase.

This class focuses on bringing out the creativity and individual style of students who have already taken Hip Hop. Students will learn the latest styles and be encouraged to add their own personality to them. This class will perform a Hip Hop piece for the end of the year Showcase.

This high-energy class is open to boys and girls, ages 9-11. Students will learn basic Hip Hop skills in addition to the latest popular dance moves. This class performs a Hip Hop piece at our end of the year showcase.

Jazz/Lyrical, Ballet/Lyrical, Tap/Jazz, Ballet/Tap/Jazz. Dress code applies. Shoes: Pink ballet shoes(girls), Black ballet shoes (boys), Lyrical- Barefeet or Foot Undezz (optional), Jazz- Tan Jazz Shoes, Tap- Tan Tap Shoes.

This class is designed for beginner to advanced beginner teen dancers to find expressive movement while developing ballet and jazz skills. This class includes turns, leaps and body and spatial awareness

This class will develop strength, flexibility, alignment and performance quality while studying the basics of Jazz technique. Students will learn safe progressions in areas of isolations, jumps/leaps, and turns and study various styles including Broadway and Commercial Jazz.

This class is for students already experienced with Ballet technique. Students will concentrate on proper execution of advanced Ballet movements with an emphasis on leaps and turns. This class will perform a Ballet piece for the end of the year Showcase.

This class will focus on jazz fundamentals learning terminology with the correct progression of class center, progressions. Students will perform in two recital throughout the year.

This high-energy class is open to boys and girls, ages 5-7. Students will learn basic Hip Hop skills in addition to the latest popular dance moves. This class performs a Hip Hop piece at our end of the year showcase.

Modern dance is a free and expressive style of dance. It began in the 20th century as a reaction and rebellion against the strict rules of classical ballet dance. Dancers get to experience a more relaxed and creative class experience; such as dancing in bare feet, learning to use breath in their movements, rolling, falling, and having more opportunities to assert themselves freely.

This class focuses on fundamental ballet steps and progressions including barre, center and across the floor. This is a great class for students to learn ballet basics and includes two performances throughout the year.

Combination class- Tap/Ballet/Jazz, Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Jazz, Ballet/Lyrical This combination class is open to boys and girls, ages six to eight. This class builds confidence and technique in the styles of class. Students will perform either a piece for the end of the year Showcase and 'Tis the season winter recital.

Combination class- Hip Hop and Creative Movement Duration- 30 minutes This high-energy class is open to boys and girls, ages 3-4. Students will learn basic Hip Hop skills in addition to the latest popular dance moves. Students will also be guided in creative movement exercises. Students will perform a Hip Hop piece for the end of the year Showcase. comfortable clothing and black hip hop sneakers. (light up sneaker permitted, but not required). No Jeans or long pants will be permitted.

Combination class- Ballet, and Creative Movement Duration- 30 minutes This combination class is open to boys and girls, ages three to four. It aims to provide a solid foundation in Ballet. Students will also be guided in creative movement exercises. This energetic class helps students develop loco-motor and social skills, while inspiring creativity. Students will perform a Ballet piece for the end of the year Showcase. Boys: Athletic wear, black ballet shoes. Girls: leotard and tights of any color (skirts are permitted) pink ballet slippers, and hair in a ponytail or bun.

Combination class- Tap, Ballet, and Creative Movement Duration- 45 minutes This combination class is open to boys and girls, ages three to four. It aims to provide a solid foundation in both Tap and Ballet. Students will also be guided in creative movement exercises. This energetic class helps students develop loco-motor and social skills, while inspiring creativity. Students will perform either a Tap or Ballet piece for the end of the year Showcase. Boys: Athletic wear, black ballet shoes, tan tap shoes. Girls: leotard and tights of any color (skirts are permitted) pink ballet slippers, tan tap shoes, and hair in a ponytail or bun.

Single semi-private lesson at a reduced rate per hour or the teacher's individual rate.

This class is open to little movers ages 0-4 years and their Mom, Dad, or Guardian as an introduction to movement exploration. Limit one adult per child.
