South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory

Students have the opportunity to perform classical repertoire and newly choreographed works at Drayton Hall Theatre, one of USC’s state-of-the-art performance halls. Friends and family members are cordially invited to attend this event. Given the limited capacity, a small number of guests will be allowed per dancer, this will be determined each year by the number of participants.

The Ballet Intensive is designed for students pursuing excellence in ballet technique and artistry. Curriculum includes ballet, pointe, variations, pas de deux, character, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and repertory. The Contemporary Intensive is designed for students pursuing excellence in contemporary training. Curriculum includes contemporary, ballet technique, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, conditioning for dance, and repertory.

Intensive study in Ballet and Contemporary dance techniques, culminating in performances of classical repertoire and newly choreographed works at Drayton Hall Theatre.

The Jazz Intensive is designed for students pursuing excellence in jazz and commercial dance training. Curriculum includes jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, conditioning, musical theatre, and more.

The Contemporary Intensive is designed for students pursuing excellence in contemporary training. Curriculum includes contemporary, ballet technique, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, conditioning for dance, and repertory.

Our 1-week Jazz Intensive students will also have the opportunity to perform a variety of combinations learned throughout the week during a special in-studio performance. We will hold small activities for our 1-week Jazz Intensive.
