About Dance Discovery Studios

Dance Discovery Studios, located in Abilene, Texas, has been a cornerstone of the community since its founding in 1985. We offer a diverse range of genuine dance styles designed to ignite a passion for movement in students of all ages, including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, and Acrobatics. Our comprehensive curriculum fosters self-discipline, coordination, and confidence, building essential life skills that extend beyond the studio. Under the guidance of experienced instructors such as Owner & Artistic Director Teri Wilkerson, Co-Owner Kirby Altimont, Director of Jazz & Contemporary Rebecka Soliz, and Director of Hip Hop Viviana Murillo, students are nurtured in their artistic journeys. Additional dedicated instructors include Riley Arnold, Braxton Parris, Rylee Dawson, Brody Parris, and Summer Roberts. Special programs like TJT (Tap, Jazz, and Tumbling) are tailored for our youngest dancers, introducing them to the fundamentals in a fun and engaging way. Dance Discovery Studios also boasts competitive programs, including the notable Core Hip Hop Company, Abilene’s first to excel in the style, and Chameleon Performing Arts Company, which expanded in 1995 to encompass dance and theatre. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive, professional, and caring environment where every student is accepted, encouraged, and has ample opportunities for growth and discovery.
