Jill Rauscher School Of Dance LLC, nestled in Webster, Texas, has been a vibrant cornerstone of the dance community for over 56 years. Founded by Jill Rauscher, a former Kilgore Rangerette and accomplished musical theater performer, the studio is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of dance in students ages 3 and up. With a supportive, family-like atmosphere and an excellent faculty, many of whom are alumni, the studio provides quality instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballroom, Musical Theater, Acrobatics, and Line Dancing. Leslie Rauscher Sawyer, Jill's daughter and former Houston Rocket's Power Dancer, leads the jazz program and teaches tap and ballet, often bringing beginner jazz students and the Razzmatazz dancers to perform at Rocket's pre-game shows. The esteemed Razzmatazz dance company offers dedicated students a platform for performance, participating in various community events and hone their skills. Instructors like Roshann Safarzadeh Cardenas, Kalia Barnett, Ellen McMillan Hickl, Jane Jennings, Rachel Manning, Kayleigh Robertson, Bralie Sawyer, and Sloan Sweeney guide students on a journey of artistic discovery. Emphasizing fundamental technique and artistic development over competition, the studio instills valuable life lessons such as respect and self-discipline. Students showcase their progress and talents in an annual end-of-year production, often featuring unique interpretations of beloved stories, and have the opportunity to participate in Drill Prep Classes.
