This class will focus on technique, body placement, terminology, coordination and rhythm.

From Broadway to the streets, tap dance is a timeless art. With a combination of precision and intricate footwork, dancers create percussive music with their feet. Our classes train students in both traditional and rhythm techniques.

Build self-confidence while exploring dance. Through movement exploration, students will improve their agility, spatial awareness, strength and flexibility. Students will learn basic dance steps and terminology.

Jazz dance is a movement style that encompasses musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, social, and commercial dance forms. Our jazz classes begin with a series of warm-ups and exercises to help students gain strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination, and then followed by dance combinations that emphasize musicality and stylized performance.

Students will learn dance studio behavior such as: listening, taking turns, and standing in a line. Through a structured warm-up, students will work on coordination, balance and locomotor skills, like skipping and galloping.

This is an introductory course to dance. Students will explore levels, shapes, rhythms, and pathways, while developing coordination, locomotor, and socialization skills. Through props and stories, students will learn about dance and its elements, time, space, and energy.

These classes include a progression of the skills, traditions, terminology, rhythm, and coordination of the previous level. Students will receive an appreciation for dance and music as they increase their understanding of and ability to perform proper technique.

Students will learn positions, vocabulary, and traditions of classical dance, in a fun and creative class setting. Through props, stories, and songs students will dance in center, across the floor, and in simple pathways to build coordination and balance.

Hip hop is a style deeply rooted in culture. It began in the streets and has made its way to the commercial and entertainment world. As the world of hip hop expands, so does its style, offering a dynamic and ever-evolving dance form.

Contemporary classes emphasize classic and emerging techniques, alignment, grounded and dynamic movement, and the basic kinesthetics of modern dance. These classes focus on developing a strong foundation in contemporary movement principles.

Touring Company is for extremely committed dancers who are focused on making dance a professional career. Dancers are willing to make dance their top priority in their schedule. They have the opportunity to work with nationally and internationally renowned choreographers and professional dancers. Touring Company competes in four conventions each year, with 1-2 of them being out-of-state.

Premiere Company is for very committed dancers who can commit to more hours and more competitions than our other tracks but can’t commit to Touring Company. Premiere Company competes in two conventions and two competitions each year. They will perform in the studio’s benefit concert, ballet production, and spring recital.

Elite Company is for committed dancers who are interested in a more intense schedule and willing to make dance a top priority. They compete in one convention and two competitions each year. Elite Company will perform in the studio’s benefit concert, ballet production, and spring recital.

Core classes: ballet, pre-pointe/pointe, jazz, and contemporary. Optional elective classes available.

Formerly known as Prep Company, Elevate Company is an excellent introduction into our competition program. They will compete in two local competitions each year. They will also perform in the studio’s benefit concert, ballet production, and spring recital.

Jumpstarts Company is a company for very committed young dancers who are interested in training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop and want the opportunity to compete. Dancers must be willing to make dance a top priority in their schedule. Jumpstarts will compete in one convention and two competitions. They will perform in the studio’s benefit concert, ballet production, and spring recital.

TINY TOTS Company is for very young dancers who are interested in training in ballet, jazz, and contemporary and want the opportunity to compete. They will compete in one competition each year and perform in the studio’s benefit concert, ballet production, and spring recital.

A company specifically designed for committed dancers ages 9 and up who would like to prepare for university dance programs and careers as professional dancers, dance teachers, and choreographers. Dancers will attend multiple master classes and workshops with universities and professional companies.

Beg/Int Tumbling. This is a new class offered! It will be a combined introduction of ballet and jazz with the opportunity to still perform a jazz dance in the spring concert.

Jazz ages 5-7. This is a new class offered! It will be a combined introduction of ballet and jazz with the opportunity to still perform a jazz dance in the spring concert.

PrePrimary Ballet ages 3-5. This is a new class offered! It will be a combined introduction of ballet and jazz with the opportunity to still perform a jazz dance in the spring concert.

Hip Hop ages 10-14. This is a new class offered! It will be a combined introduction of ballet and jazz with the opportunity to still perform a jazz dance in the spring concert.

Advanced High School is a company for dancers in high school who are involved in cheer, drill, and/or dance company but who still want to train and compete in a studio setting. Advanced High School Company competes in two competitions in the spring. Dancers will perform in the studio’s spring recital.

Jazz ages 6-9. This is a new class offered! It will be a combined introduction of ballet and jazz with the opportunity to still perform a jazz dance in the spring concert.
