LEVEL 4 Tumbling

Our LEVEL 4 Tumbling will focus on throwing continuous skills on the mat, back tucks, front aerials, and other dance related tumbling skills. All of the classes will focus on strength and conditioning to ensure that our dancers are strong enough to perform certain skills.

LEVEL 3 Tumbling

Our Intermediate tumbling level will focus on standing back handsprings, round off back handsprings, aerials, and begin to attempt start doing multiple skills in one pass on the mat.

LEVEL 1 and 2 Tumbling

The LEVEL 1 and 2 Tumbling classes are great for any student age 5 and older who are interested in learning the basics of tumbling – somersaults, cartwheels, back walkovers, handstands, etc.

Adventure Tumbling

Adventure Tumbling for boys and girls ages 3-5 is great for those waiting to learn somersaults and beginning tumbling.

HIP HOP 2

These hip hop classes are progressive based on skill and age. Hip Hop 2 is a step up in skill level for older dancers who want to try more complex skills and tricks. In both classes we encourage free style and allow the dancers to use their own creativity through movement. We will only use clean, age-appropriate music in these classes.

HIP HOP 1

These hip hop classes are progressive based on skill and age. Our Hip Hop 1 class is a beginning class and great for all dancers (boys and girls) that want to try hip hop. We focus footwork, style, and tricks that we see current in the industry. In both classes we encourage free style and allow the dancers to use their own creativity through movement. We will only use clean, age-appropriate music in these classes.

BOYS CREW

This all boys class is one of our most popular classes and definitely a crowd pleaser at our recitals! We focus on teaching the basics of hip hop – isolations, musicality, footwork and style while keeping up on the latest trends and tricks in the industry. Using clean, age-appropriate music in this genre is important to us. We won’t play it if it is questionable.

POINTE: Levels 1-4

Pointe is a tough yet beautiful and fascinating skill to perform. All dancers at the appropriate age may take Pointe Prep. In this class our focus is to ensure that our dancers are strong enough to start on pointe by demonstrating correct technique and strength in their technique shoes. A dancer will progress from Pointe Prep to Pointe 1 and then to Pointe 2 by the recommendation of their ballet teacher.

BALLET (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced)

Ballet is at the foundation of all dance genres. It builds strength and flexibility while teaching an artform that has been around for over 100 years. Our classical ballet program incorporates barre exercises, center work, and various classical and new combos for our dancers to experience. Each year, our ballet dancers participate in their own ballet production that is separate from the studio recital. If your dancer is interested in taking one of our ballet classes, please let us know and we will direct you to the right class for your dancer. As dancers progress in age, they will take two ballet classes a week instead of one. Ballet is a required class for all competition dancers.

BEGINNING BALLROOM

Come join the ballroom craze that has swept Davis county! No experience or partners required. This beginning level class is ideal for all types of dancers. Learn the various ballroom styles as you work on foot work and core isolations. This class is great for anyone wanting more dance experience for musical theater opportunities or to try out for you school ballroom team.

TEEN DANCE COMBO

This class is a progressive step in our jazz and hip hop series. This class provides an opportunity for our dancers to be able to explore and combine popular genres leading the industry and work to build the necessary strength and conditioning required for dance success. We focus on self confidence and providing a safe and comfortable environment for our dancers to try new skills.

LEVEL 2 (Ages 7-9) and LEVEL 3 (Ages 9-11)

Our Level 2 and 3 classes are some of our most popular classes. These classes are geared towards developing the foundational skills learned in Level 1 into a strong confident dancer. These combo classes will continue to excel in the genres of Jazz, Ballet, and Tap (for Level 2) and Contemporary (for Level 3). Our dancers will learn the proper fundamental jazz, ballet, and contemporary skills such as turns, kicks, and leaps and incorporate it with fun, trendy, stylized choreography. Our class levels progress and increase with more challenging skills as well as focuses on flexibility and performance skills.

Hip Hop

Tumbling: Level 1-2

MINI and STARS BALLET

These are “ballet only” classes that will teach the classic form of ballet. They will include ballet exercises at the barre, working in center and small across the floor combinations. The class is part of our classical ballet program and will participate in our ballet production. Ballet is a required class for all competition dancers.

LEVEL 1 COMBO

This class is a progressive step after completing our Tots class or a first step for new dancers this age. It provides beginning foundational skills in ballet, jazz, and tap. We offer a focused environment for our dancers, so they are able to develop coordination, balance, and flexibility while doing across the floor combinations and fun choreography.

ADVENTURE TUMBLING

Do you have a child that seems to spend more time upside down that right side up? If so, this tumbling class is perfect! Boys and girls will use their imagination to help tumble through adventures as super heroes, ninjas, princes/princesses, and pirates while learning basic tumbling skills. It is guaranteed to be a lot of fun for everyone!

TOT COMBO CLASS

Have a child who is always dancing around the house? This class is for them! We provide an introduction to beginning dance and movement technique, through jazz, ballet, tap, & tumbling while incorporating creative movement allowing the student to develop a love for music, movement, and imagination. We use a variety of fun and current music, making sure that the songs are enjoyable and age-appropriate.

This class is our first introduction to movement, music, and friends. This is a great class for both boys and girls. We work on developing large motor skills like jumping, running, hoping, and skipping as well as use our imagination as we learn cognitive skills such as fast and slow, up and down, and many other movements.
