The Just For Kix dance class curriculum is designed specifically for each age group, Preschool through High School. There are no auditions for our weekly dance classes. Dancers are divided by age group to allow for maximum confidence and self-esteem building.

Ballet is the cornerstone of all other styles of dance. It provides the fundamental basis dancers need in order to be strong and flexible.

Tap incorporates dance technical elements using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor. The sound is made by shoes that have a metal "tap" on the heel and toe. Tap dance provides a fun and engaging experience for the dancer and audience alike.

Energize your routine with pom dance! This high-impact style blends dynamic jazz and hip hop moves with vibrant pom poms. Perfect for building teamwork, spirit, and technical dance skills, pom dance is a blast for all ages.

Hip-hop is a fun, upbeat style of dance. It is characterized by hard hitting movement and body isolations. It is an extremely high energy style of dance that encompasses a variety of different styles.

Lyrical is a blend of ballet, jazz and contemporary styles of dance. The dancing tells the story of the song with powerful movement and beautiful lines.

There are many different styles of jazz dance. Jazz dancing combines footwork and movement with different technical elements such as leaps and turns.

Kick dancing is known for its precision and uniformity. Intricate formation changes accompanied by long kick lines and unique kick sequences makes this genre a crowd pleaser!

Dancers will learn ballet positions, barre work, and beginner lyrical technique and style. They’ll learn 1–2 routines to perform. Enrollment in Sparklers Jazz/Kick is required. Both classes share the same costume to help keep costs down and provide a well-rounded dance experience.

This is a Hip Hop Class for high school age dancers. The focus of the class will be hip hop choreography and movement.

Teaching Jazz, Kick and Pom Techniques. Jessica has been teaching yoga in the Brainerd Lakes area since 2015. Sharing fun and different ways to stretch and strengthen comes natural to her as a former Just For Kix instructor and Brainerd Kixter.

(Kick, Ballet, & Jazz) Class is geared toward large motor skill development, learning rhythm, basic technique, and cultivates dancer's imagination and creative movement. It is the perfect activity to get your toddler socialized and moving! Class will perform 4 times throughout the season.

Tiny Kix: Kick/Jazz is the perfect combo class for the upbeat mover! Dancers will learn a combination of Kick and Jazz techniques while also learning the importance of performing and working as a team! This class can be joined anytime during our season.

The focus of the class will be Lyrical choreography, expression and movement Jazz Technique, ballet, stretching and strengthening will also be covered. This is a placement-Lyrical level class. Dancers must receive permission from the Program Director before registering. Enrollment in Kick, Jazz, and Ballet/Technique is also required. This Lyrical class will have the opportunity to compete in 1–3 competitions throughout the season, in addition to participating in local performances.
