In our Hip Hop classes, students develop a strong understanding of musical elements and master intricate, grounded choreography. Hip hop cultivates self-discipline and adaptability at a whole new level.

Join our Acro classes, led by an experienced gymnastics coach, where students learn skills and safety techniques directly applicable to dance choreography. Acro covers tumbling, contortion, and acrobatic skills like aerials, head springs, back tucks, and more.

IDT offers contemporary dance classes that combine modern, postmodern, and lyrical styles, emphasizing improvisation, floorwork, partnering, and dancing barefoot. Lyrical dance, a fusion of ballet and jazz, requires technical skill, musicality, and emotional expression.

At IDT, Jazz is a dynamic American art form encompassing various styles like Broadway, Latin, classical jazz, funk, Bollywood, and more! Our classes focus on body isolations (head, shoulders, rib cage, feet, and arms), fostering individual expression and personal style development.

IDT offers a strong classical ballet program with a structured curriculum. We emphasize proper body placement, dynamic movement, artistry, and performance opportunities. Our training also includes valuable life lessons for personal growth.

A 45-minute upbeat class with age-appropriate music where dancers work on basic jazz techniques, choreography, body isolations, and terminology.

In this 45-minute class, dancers groove to age-appropriate pop and hip-hop music, learning basic choreography, body isolations, and hip-hop style through combinations and games.

For ages 5-7, this class covers acrobatics, tumbling, and stretching techniques, including splits, forearm/elbow stands, scorpion/heel stretches, and more.

A 45-minute ballet-inspired class with an additional 15 minutes of tap. Students learn basic steps, terminology, and movement concepts through games and age-appropriate imagery.

Kids aged 3-4 learn acrobatics, tumbling, and stretching, including rolls, bridges, handstands, cartwheels, splits, and more.

Introduce your child to a fun and age-appropriate dance class in just 45 minutes. Boys and girls will learn basic skills and movement concepts through activities like zig-zagging, skipping, jumping, and more.

To dance en pointe, students need to attend three 1.5-hour ballet technique classes per week for a significant period before being eligible for pointe shoe testing. New students must obtain approval from the School Director before using pointe shoes in class.

Classical ballet placement by level/audition, requiring a minimum of three (4-5 recommended) ballet classes per week, equating to 6+ hours of technique, plus pointe, contemporary, jazz technique and conditioning classes.

Classical ballet placement by level/audition, requiring a minimum of three, 1.5 – 2 hour ballet technique classes per week, four recommended, plus pointe classes. Conditioning is required as well as jazz and/or contemporary.

Classical ballet requiring placement by level, with a minimum of two, 1.5-hour ballet classes per week, and three recommended. Pre-pointe classes are advised when preparing for promotion to level IV.

Classical ballet for ages 9-10 years. Two, one-hour classes per week are required before promotion to level III. Students usually remain in this level for 2 years.

Classical ballet for ages 7-8 years (6.5 by approval) requiring one hour per week. Students usually remain in this level for 2 years.
