About Columbia Theatre Association for the Performing Arts

The Columbia Theatre Association for the Performing Arts in Longview, Washington, is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and young people through the performing arts. While not a dedicated dance studio, the theatre plays a vital role in arts education. Through the Eloise Pepper Arts Education Fund, the Columbia Theatre makes various programs possible, including a Summer Theatre Camp for grades K-5 that immerses children in all aspects of creating a live performance. Free Theatre Workshops are also offered, introducing children to elements of theatre production such as movement and acting, taught by directors from Missoula Children’s Theatre. Additionally, the theatre partners with the Southwest Washington Symphony to provide a free concert series for local school districts. These programs, funded by the Eloise Pepper Arts Education Fund, aim to instill a lifelong appreciation for the arts and foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in young attendees.
