Within the class students will work at their own pace on progression based skills and will have strict requirements and testing that has to be met to safely and confidently move to the next level of acrobatics. Acrobatic Arts classes can be taken alone or in conjunction with other dance classes to make a well rounded dancer.

The Granite Falls School of Dance is excited to be a Certified Acrobatic Arts Studio. We offer Acro Dance classes to students of all ages and ability levels. Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture.

Tap dance is a type of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. The sound is made by shoes that have a metal "tap" on the heel and toe.

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Lyrical dance has been defined as a dance style that embodies various aspects of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, modern, and hip hop, while still maintaining its autonomy. It has been strongly associated with clearly displayed emotional moods, fast-moving choreographic strategies, emphasis on virtuosic display, illustration of song lyrics, and, in group form, exact unison. The style is usually danced at a faster pace than ballet but not as fast as jazz.

A class designed for our beginner dancers ages 3-6yrs. These classes offer a variety of styles including jazz/tap, ballet and acro meant to expose our little dancers to many styles of dance to stimulate their young brains and bodies.

A classical dance form demanding grace and precision and employing formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement.
