Fabulous Feet Dance Studio, a cornerstone of dance education in Wenatchee, Washington for over 34 years, invites dancers of all ages and skill levels to discover their passion for movement. As a vibrant hub for the arts, the studio offers a comprehensive curriculum encompassing foundational techniques in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap, alongside the expressive artistry of Contemporary, the dynamic energy of Hip Hop, and the captivating performance art of Musical Theater. Advanced Silks

Silks, also called Fabric or Tissu, are one long piece of fabric attached in the middle to the ceiling to create two long tails.In this class you will learn to climb, invert in the air, and hang upside down. As you increase strength and comfort-level , you will learn sequences, drops, slides, and flips that allow you to descend the fabric with style and grace. This class is offered to members of our competition team as well as recreational dancers.

Intermediate/Advanced Silks

Ballet is the mother of dance, which develops good body structure and tone, body placement and technique, strength and flexibility, and is important for the well-rounded dancer. Contemporary is a style of theatrical dance that rejects the limitations of ballet and favors movement deriving from the expression of inner feeling. These classes are ideal for students who would like to continue their dance education but are not interested in dancing competitively.

3rd Year Jazz/Tap

This class is a progression of our Tots Combo classes. Focused primarily on Jazz and Tap, this class is a great option for students who have progressed past the Tots Combo classes, but are not yet ready for the more involved beginning classes. Placement subject to studio faculty approval.

2nd Year Tots Combo

A creative movement course for tots, based on the rudiments of dance: basic ballet, introduction to jazz, and development of good rhythm through tap.

This class is dedicated to our most advanced group of ballerinas and ballet danseurs. At this point in training, adagio and allegro become longer, petite allegro combinations become quicker, and pointe work becomes a main focus. Students must be technically efficient and have a high work ethic to safely execute advanced ballet steps. This level meets four days a week and is considered our highest, most elite group of dancers. For members of our competition team, this level is a requirement for the C1 group.

As the body is now fully trained to begin more intermediate/advanced steps, syllabus continues to move even faster. Extensions now rise above demi-hauteur. Adagio and allegro become longer, finessing students’ muscle control, balance and creating endurance. Performance presentation is molded in this level as artistry is developed within movement pointe work is incorporated into weekly training. As students become more advanced, students will train four days a week . For members of our competition team, this level is a requirement for the C2 group.

Continuing to build on students’ repertoire, all steps previously learned are executed in center combinations. Grande allegro takes forefront, and petite allegro combinations become quicker. Performance presentation is molded in this level. As students become more advanced, students will train three days a week. Having developed the necessary ankle strength to properly and skillfully control transitions into relevé at the barre and in center, dancers may begin training en pointe* per instructor discretion. For members of our competition team, these levels are a requirement for the C3 group.

With the strength, placement and technique gained in the Beginning Ballet levels, dancers with postural alignment and consistently engaged turn out are now ready to execute more challenging movements. Combinations and intermediate steps are introduced, muscle memory and technique refined through repetition. Students gain balance through increased center-work, pirouettes, and side barre exercises. Hip placement and pelvic strength begin to develop in this level for extensions and more advanced steps requiring specific muscle use. Stretching draws emphasis, and previously learned steps at the barre are now practiced in center. For members of our competition team, these levels meet two days a week and is a requirement for the C4 group.

Beginning Ballet

This class reinforces the skills developed in Beginning Ballet, and builds upon its strong foundation, as students begin to set the fundamentals into action. Tempos, preparation for turns, and more advanced exercises are incorporated into the syllabus. As the challenges increase, two days a week are needed to maintain strength and the muscle memory needed for more advanced steps. For members of our competition team, this class is a requirement for the Rockstars group.

Ballet Basics

For young dancers’ first introduction to ballet training, this class teaches musicality, the wonders of imagination in dance, emotional expression, basic rhythm and counting, beginning stretches and beginning ballet exercises and traveling steps. This class meets once a week and focuses on the building blocks of ballet training. In order for steps to be safely executed, the correct placement, muscle use and posture must become muscle memory. Students will learn how to support their spine through use of their core, use the correct turn out muscles, where to place their weight to activate correct muscle groups, how to work through their feet with safe alignment, stretching through the joints, and muscle use in preparation for steps.

Adult Ballet
$20 per class!

Ballet is the mother of dance, which develops good body structure and tone, body placement and technique, strength and flexibility, and is important for the well-rounded dancer. Our adult ballet classes are geared for older teens and adult who wish to use dance as a form of fun and challenging fitness. Ballet works the entire body, from head to toe, as you navigate combinations in the air, on the floor and at the barre.

Tap is a well-known, audible form of dance that develops a strong sense of rhythm and coordination. Our adult tap classes are geared for older teens and adult who wish to use dance as a form of fun and challenging fitness. Tap provides great cardio and helps fine-tune articulation of the legs and feet.
