Competitive Dance provides dancers with the opportunity to have more stage time, learn from different choreographers, and embrace the thrill of performing for audiences and judges from around the country.

Children work with our talented faculty staging the ballet and experiencing the excitement of bringing a magical world to life! Children age four and over come together to whisk you away on a journey through the "The Land of the Sweets".

Our program uniquely focuses on training first. We believe that the most versatile and dynamic dancers study a full spectrum of dance types. In addition to ballet and pointe, Lake Shore Dance offers cutting edge classes in the classical forms: Jazz, Tap, Modern/Lyrical/Contemporary.

As the world of dance continues to evolve, floorwork, displays of flexibility and control, and inversions are seen increasingly in dance choreography. Your child will learn how to support their weight and move in and out of the floor while developing their strength and flexibility.

Hip hop is an exciting and energetic form of freestyle dancing that your child will love exploring. Dancers will learn fundamental concepts of Hip Hop and an exciting routine to share at the Informal Showing.

Lyrical is a beautiful expressive form of dancing that combines ballet, jazz, and modern dance elements. Your child will learn to express themselves through dance while developing technical foundations and body awareness.

Children learn the essential movements and foundations of ballet while developing their flexibility and muscular control. Tuition includes a "FREE" Dance Outfit to wear at the Informal Showing.

Preschoolers learn basic ballet and movement concepts while developing their body awareness and creativity. Tuition includes a "FREE" Dance Outfit to wear at the Informal Showing.

Join our exciting children's dance classes this 6-week session, where young dancers can unleash their creativity and express themselves through movement. Our experienced instructors will guide children in a fun and supportive environment, helping them develop coordination, confidence, and a love of dance.

Our summer intensive series has included guest instructors from around the region teaching jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theater. Our students are inspired and motivated by these guests.
