GYROTONIC®
GYROTONIC® is based in principles of yoga, dance, tai chi, and swimming and a session takes on equipment. Unlike yoga (and most workouts), there’s an emphasis on rotation and spiraling movement that doesn’t have an end point. You use handles and pulleys to enable sweeping, arching movements, and there’s a fluid quality that goes hand in hand with your breathing. Each movement flows into the next and the accumulation of repetition and pattern gives the joints the correct articulation without jarring or compression.
GYROKINESIS® & GYROTONIC®
You use handles and pulleys to enable sweeping, arching movements, and there’s a fluid quality that goes hand in hand with your breathing. Each movement flows into the next and the accumulation of repetition and pattern gives the joints the correct articulation without jarring or compression. GYROKINESIS®️ is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. some of the exercises are performed on low stools while others are done lying down, sitting, or standing. Gyrokinesis movement maximizes the flow of energy through the body leaving you feeling energized, balanced, and grounded.
Contemporary Dance Wyoming Company Class
This unique offering is a time to gather in community for the highest good. No experience is necessary. After a brief introduction and description of Reiki, universal Lifeforce healing energy there will be a time to share intentions. Reiki can be sent to something as small as a sore thumb or as big as world Peace. Everyone present will hold the intention for the highest healing and Good as we share and send our energies during this 20 minute meditation. Once we complete our meditation, the energies will be sent on their way out into the world. This can be a very powerful practice, especially for situations that can feel out of our control. Heaviness becomes much lighter when shared. If you are ready to answer this call, then you are meant to be there and your energies are needed.
Finding Your Flow Melt and Gyrokinesis
Gyrokinesis® is a modality that involves a simple foundation of moving the spine in different directions whether you are lying, sitting or standing. The MELT® Method is a neurofascial technique that uses a specialized soft foam roller and small balls to bring your body back to a more ideal state by directly enhancing body awareness, rehydrating connective tissue and quieting the nervous system. In this class we are combining two modalities to allow for an overall experience of novelty and variety. Without a set goal, we’ll explore each movement with care and mindfulness, creating a safe space for conscious embodiment that allows for meaningful transformation in both action and experience.
