THE TAP STUDIO, located in Anchorage, Alaska, is a vibrant hub for dance education, founded in 2015. Specializing in the rhythmic and percussive art of Tap dance, the studio honors the cultural traditions of American tap through education, performance, and community engagement. Led by Artistic Director and Owner Valerie Thurston, whose passion for tap began in childhood and is informed by extensive training with esteemed instructors and mentorship from tap legend Dianne Walker, the studio fosters a joyful and technically proficient learning environment. While tap is at its core, THE TAP STUDIO also offers instruction in foundational Ballet technique, providing a well-rounded dance education. Valerie's dedication to sharing her love of dance has been evident since she began teaching across Alaska in 2005. The studio caters to a wide range of students, from young beginners to advanced dancers, with a comprehensive approach that includes details on tuition, a clear registration process, and a class schedule for the '2025-2026 Season'.
