American/ International Viennese Waltz
Is the genre of a ballroom dance. At least three different meanings are recognized and it was the first ballroom dance performed in the closed hold or "waltz" position. It has the flow and grace of the traditional waltz without as many rules and regulations. (It is to Waltz as Contemporary is to Ballet)
International Quick Step
is a light-hearted member of the standard ballroom dances. The movement of the dance is fast and powerfully flowing and sprinkled with syncopations. The upbeat melodies that quickstep is danced to make it suitable for both formal and informal events. It is a quick, (shocker, right?) up-beat fun dance typically held in hold throughout the dance.
American/International Tango
is a partner dance that originated in the 1880s along the River Plate, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay, and soon spread to the rest of the world. A lyrical story telling dance that represents breathing in artistic, abstract forms of body and mind. (The best way I like to describe it is if Ballet and Jazz had a baby!)
