We offer a nurturing environment for dancers of all ages and experience levels to learn, grow, and thrive. Our mission is to foster holistic well-being through the transformative power of movement, emphasizing classical ballet technique, terminology, and choreography. Led by experienced instructors Gayle Howard and Laryssa Rice, Embody Ballet & Fitness provides exceptional dance training. Gayle Howard brings over 16 years of ballet experience and a Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® license, while Laryssa Rice has trained with renowned institutions and companies. Together, they ensure a high standard of instruction, focusing on foundational elements, artistry, and technical mastery. Our diverse programs include youth and adult ballet classes, starting with "Little Leapers" for young children and progressing to beginning pointe work for ages 12 and up. We also offer "Adult Senior Swans," a five-week initiation course designed for adults to explore ballet regardless of prior experience. Beyond ballet, students can enjoy "Barre" classes, blending ballet principles with conditioning for strength and agility, and high-energy Zumba classes. Embody Ballet & Fitness emphasizes not only physical development, enhancing strength, flexibility, and posture, but also the cultivation of essential life skills such as discipline, grace, and perseverance. Ballet

We provide our youngest dancers with safe, developmentally appropriate and engaging lessons that build strong foundations and inspire a love of dance. Our whole child approach to dance means that each lesson is carefully crafted to support your child's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development, all through the magic of pretend play, music and movement.

Fridays 10:15 am
Ballet

These dance classes focus on pre-primary level ballet, creative movement concepts, and pretend play with greater complexity. Students continue to learn French terminology of ballet terms, and exercises that increase musical awareness, balance, agility, and gross-motor development are practiced.

YOGALATES

A calming blend of Yoga and Pilates that builds strength, improves flexibility, and centers the mind. Great for all levels looking to move with intention and reconnect with their body.

Beginning Pointe*

For dancers who have advanced in technique and physical strength, an additional 30 minute instruction is available following the Monday class for Beginning Barre technique. *In order to participate in Beginning Pointe, dancers must commit to both Monday and Thursday classes. Pre-approval is required for participation.

Ballet

These dance classes focus on primary level ballet with even greater complexity. This class begins the transition into the study of classical ballet. Students are now asked to perform many of the exercises in ‘turn-out’ and to combine steps to form dance combinations. Each class will focus on French terminology, musical awareness, balance, agility, and gross motor development. Creative movement concepts and pretend play continue to be woven into exercises throughout class.

Beginning and Intermediate Ballet with optional Beginning Pointe*

In this class the foundation and beginning elements of classical ballet will be taught in a fun and positive way. Use of body awareness, basics of stretching and strengthening, along with classical ballet terminology and choreography, will help equip the students with a knowledge of the art and a greater appreciation for movement. This class is ideal for beginning dancers as well as cheerleaders, members of dance team, gymnastics and sports!

BARRE

This total body workout combines the fundamentals of classical ballet with cardio and strength training. The ballet barre is used for support in both static and dynamic movement, which leads to long, lean, sculpted muscles. The cardio boosts your metabolic rate for increased calorie-burn, and the strength training tones and tightens.

CYCLE SCULPT

Our 60-Minute signature cycle sculpt class will help push your limits, but is tailored to also grow your confidence. This class is a high intensity, full-body cardio workout that includes strength training and rhythm-based choreography.

Our 50-minute signature Ironmat class is a full-body strength workout using dumbbells, resistance bands, and body weight. each class consists of 9 exercises completed 4 times with 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest, followed by a core workout and stretching.

ADULT BALLET

Our ballet classes will help improve your mobility, posture, co-ordination and energy levels. Instruction includes classical ballet steps, positions and technique.
