IBC’s Fairytale Days gives serious young students the same well-rounded ballet education that is offered in our Summer Intensive for older students, with consideration for the age-appropriate time and class content for ages 3-5. The Fairytale Days allows students to experience their own “mini-intensive” while receiving in-depth training in Ballet Technique and Conditioning.

Adult Ballet is for teens/adults who are interested in an open enrollment, ongoing ballet training program that offers its participants a wonderful opportunity to strengthen and tone the body, as well as increase flexibility, musicality, balance, and coordination, while enjoying the aesthetics of this beautiful art form.

IBC prides itself on its program for Young Gentlemen, which provides a unique opportunity for male students to find mentorship, inspiration, and instruction that is catered specifically for their needs as dancers. IBC’s Young Gentlemen’s program runs parallel with our girls’ Level 1-4 and follows the same Vaganova-based curriculum of our Pre-Professional Division.

The Pre-Professional Division, for students ages 10-18, provides students with a specialized curriculum of ballet training based on the Vaganova method, while aiming to develop the whole dancer through supplemental classes in other dance styles.

IBC’s uniquely designed Preparatory Division is for students ages 3-9 and provides young dancers with a welcoming and structured introduction to ballet training while building fundamental skills, confidence and creativity.

Adult Ballet at IBC provides a fantastic artistic and athletic outlet for students of all ages and ability levels. No previous experience is required. Whether a beginning adult student taking his or her first ballet class, or someone who has danced before and is looking to resume or continue their studies, our classes are designed with everyone in mind. All classes are “open” classes and are taught at a pace that is both flexible and catered to the ability levels and demographic within each class. Adult Ballet classes at IBC are generally taught at an Intermediate level, but we welcome all levels including beginners. Most classes are made up of a mix of students, with both regulars and newcomers of all ages working side-by- side in a relaxed and fun, yet professional environment.

The Pre-Professional Day Program (PDP) offers an intense level of training for serious-minded students ages 10-19 and is by audition-only. This program is dedicated to elevating the artistry and technique for those striving to pursue a professional career in ballet.

IBC’s Young Dancers’ Intensive (YDI) gives serious young students the same well-rounded dance education that is offered in our Summer Intensive for older students, with consideration for the age-appropriate time and class content for ages 6+. YDI allows students to experience their own “mini-intensive” while receiving in-depth training in Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe, and Conditioning. In addition, students spend time learning original choreography or pieces within IBC’s repertoire, providing the opportunity to learn and familiarize themselves with various styles of dance. This highly anticipated program has become an important cornerstone of the IBC summer experience and also provides a wonderful introduction for new students to the training and teaching style at IBC.
