About Academy of Dance

Academy of Dance, located in Biddeford, Maine, has been a cornerstone of the community for 22 years, offering a diverse and affordable dance education for students of all ages. With a passionate and experienced team, including studio owners Amanda and Nate, the studio provides a nurturing environment for dancers aged 2 to 83. Our comprehensive curriculum spans a wide range of styles such as Tap, Ballet & Pointe, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro Dance, and new this season, Breakdance. We also offer Adult Tap and Production Routines. Our dedicated instructors, such as Tracey Garland, Mackenzie Williams, Liana Constance, and Megan Spooner, bring extensive training and diverse backgrounds to our classes. Liana Constance, a former competitive dancer, specializes in hip hop and contemporary, while Megan Spooner excels in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. Maddy Stevens, a former student and competition team member, also contributes her expertise in various styles and tumbling. Academy of Dance is committed to fostering individual growth through smaller class sizes for personalized attention and mastering fundamental concepts. We are also proud to offer "Mommy and Me" and "Daddy and Me" classes, fostering a strong sense of community. Beyond the classroom, students gain valuable performance experience through our renowned annual production of "The Nutcracker" (Claire's Dream) and our End of the Year Recital. We actively support our community through charitable initiatives, aiming to share the joy and benefits of dance with everyone.
