Classes

Self Choreography

In this class, students will learn about choreography and how to create it. They will be given creative freedom, goals, and learn skills on how to create choreography of their own. They will be able to work independently and as a group.

Stretch and Strengthening

Here we will work on dynamic stretching and intentional strengthening. These targeted exercises will benefit the dancer in their technique class. This cross-training when paired with technique classes will develop a well-rounded dancer. Non-dancers are also able to take these classes to better their physical health.

Progressing Ballet Technique

Progressing Ballet Technique helps students advance in all dance forms, focusing on core stability, weight placement, proper alignment, and muscle memory. In PBT we use equipment to target specific exercises and muscle groups. The equipment creates instant feedback, so dancers are able to correct themselves. This trains their muscle memory and correct alignment for ballet technique.

Adult Classes

Adults love to dance too, but are often deterred by lack of experience! Here we have adult classes for all skill levels, and every style of dance listed we have an adult class for!

Partnering

Grab your partner, or find one in class. In this class, students will learn how to dance with one another. Students will learn social style dances, classical styles, and non-traditional choreography.

Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical

These three styles originated from ballet, acrobatics, and other classical dance techniques blending. These classes will foster, expression, technique, strength, balance, and grace. Students will learn how to tell stories with their dancing, and how to use music as a tool in this expression.

Acrobatics

Acrobatics is a mixture of floor gymnastics and dance. Acrobatic skills will develop balance, agility, motor coordination, flexibility, and strength.

Tap

Tap teaches dancers how to use their bodies to create and work with rhythm and music. Dancers will gain knowledge of musicality, syncopation, articulation, and more with tap technique.

Musical Theater

Jazz meets broadway, acting, and more! In musical theater class, dancers will learn how to embody characters, and express emotions through movement and acting. Students will bring their dancing to life in this fun class filled with technique, acting, lip syncing, singing and more!

Jazz

Jazz is a high-energy dance style that evolved from African and European techniques. Dancers will learn how to better control their bodies for powerful movements, gaining skills in body isolations, flexibility, and strength. Students will learn jazz technique, artistry, and musicality as well.

Ballet

Ballet is a classical form of dance. At the core of ballet lies grace, musicality, flexibility, strength, poise, and more. Our main ballet technique is the Cecchetti method. Here we have both syllabus and non-syllabus classes for a full ballet education.

Pre-Dance

It all begins with movement and music. Pre-Dance is a class for students aged 3-5. Dancers explore music, listening skills, mobility, balance, coordination, and the joys of dance. This class is an excellent starter for your young dancer!

Cecchetti method

The Cecchetti method is a ballet technique created by Italian ballet master Enrico Cecchetti (1850–1928). The method creates balance, poise, strength, elevation, flexibility, and artistry, in every dancer.

Grade I-VIII

At age 7, dancers begin Grade I. From Grade I onwards, a dancer's placement will be determined by both technique and age. Teachers will move dancers up a level as the dancer progresses at their own pace.

Primary

Primary classes are designed for dancers aged 5-6. These classes serve as a foundational step to prepare dancers for the Grade I level.
