Classes

Superstars

Superstars students take a wide variety of technique classes across a variety of dance styles developed specifically for their age and level. Students rehearse their choreography on the same two evenings per week. As more dancers are added, Saturdays rehearsals may be required as well. Dancers learn choreography for 2-3 routines - ballet, jazz and tap. As dancers age, they may add lyrical, modern and hip hop choreography increasing the number of routines. Dancers also have the opportunity to add additional small groups, solos and duo/trios across genres as well. Superstars participate in three regional dance competitions in the Spring, two in Kansas City and one within four hours of KC. Dancers travel to a national competition in a city determined by team vote in early Fall. Superstars over the age of 6 participate in at least one local dance convention as a team. Conventions give the dancers an opportunity to learn from an amazing group of teachers across a wide variety of styles in just one weekend. Dancers perform at three additional shows in Kansas City throughout the spring and early summer, giving friends and family a chance to see them shine!

Hot Shots
