The Clark Academy of Irish Dance (CAID), located in St. Louis, Missouri, is a premier institution dedicated to the art of traditional Irish Step dancing for dancers of all ages and abilities. Led by owner and TCRG/ADCRG certified instructor Mary Jo Clark-Cange, also known as MJ or Miss Mary Jo, the academy offers unparalleled expertise. Mary Jo's extensive background includes performing with Riverdance and achieving prestigious certifications from An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, alongside significant competitive achievements at regional, national, and world championships. She is joined by accomplished instructors Olivia Murphy and Katherine Massman (Selness), who have national and world championship experience, and Maggie Heavey, with international competition experience. CAID provides a nurturing and supportive environment, emphasizing strong technique and character development, fostering confidence, resilience, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Tots classes are available for children aged 4, with beginner classes welcoming students aged 5 and up. While performances and competitions are optional, CAID offers numerous opportunities for dancers to showcase their skills through solo and team competitions (including Oireachtas, Nationals, and World Championships), ceili, choreography, public performances, festivals, and feisanna. The studio boasts a top-tier facility with sprung Harlequin Cascade floors, two dedicated studio spaces, and a comfortable lobby, ensuring a professional learning environment.
