Dance Connections Performing Arts Center

Technique only classes are offered to students as a way to supplement their studies. While choreography may be introduced in the class in the form of combinations, choreography will not be performed. These profound and focused classes will aid students in their advancement.

Our recreational classes serve as a perfect introduction for new dancers or a comfortable environment for experienced dancers who do not wish to compete. Ballet, tap, jazz combo classes are available, in addition to hip hop and acro classes. We host two annual recitals, allowing our dancers to display their accomplishments. The first, 'Holiday Performance,' occurs in December, and the second, 'Annual Showcase,' takes place in June.

The award-winning Dance Connection Performing Arts Center Company, under the artistic direction of Sarah Barrett, is comprised of approximately 70 students chosen during the summer each year by audition. The members are a dedicated group of dancers competing not only at competitions but also performing at other functions throughout the area, such as Six Flags, purely for the love of dance.

Our Pre-Company program is for ages 6 to 8 and is designed to prepare young dancers for our Company program. Pre-Company is a great stepping stone into competition dance and the commitment it requires. They will be placed in two dances and perform at the Extravaganza and Recital, in addition to competing at four regional competitions. Our program includes weekly technique classes and group rehearsals.

The DCPAC Stars is for ages 4 and 5 years old. This program is designed to help young dancers prepare for our Pre-Company and Company programs. The DCPAC Stars will be placed in one dance and will perform at Extravaganza and Recital, in addition to competing at two regional competitions. Sports bra, half top, crop top, tank top, leotard, dance shorts, leggings, and jazz shoes. Dance sneakers will only be allowed for hip-hop classes and working out. Technique only students are not allowed to wear athletic shorts or joggers/sweatpants.

Solid colored leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair should be secured back and off the neck in a bun. Technique only students are required to wear a black leotard, neutral sports bra, and a bun.

This is a two week long intensive that will be taught by outside choreographers, DCPAC teachers, and local teachers/choreographers. There are 4 levels of camp which are as follows: Intensive 1 - Ages 4 & 5: Wednesday and Thursday Intensive 2 - Ages 6 - 8: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Intensive 3 - Ages 9 - 12: Monday thru Thursday Intensive 4 - Ages 13 & Up: Monday thru Friday
