Katura Dance Academy (KDA), located in Greenville, North Carolina, is a vibrant center for performing arts education, founded in 2011. We offer a diverse range of dance styles for all ages, fostering both recreational and competitive dance development in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our comprehensive curriculum includes foundational techniques and popular genres such as Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Acrobatics, Contemporary, AfroFusion, Pom, and Ballroom. Our dedicated instructors include Mrs. Aleia, who teaches Pre-dance, Tap, Ballet, and Horton; Ms. Hannah, specializing in Acro Dance, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tech; and Ms. Jasmine, offering expertise in Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, and Majorette. Under the artistic direction of Kimberly Jones, KDA aims to make the arts tangible, encouraging students to explore their God-given gifts and find expression through movement. We are committed to excellence, evident in our award-winning reputation and dedication to nurturing talent. KDA believes dance is a powerful creative outlet and confidence booster, making it accessible through tuition structured by weekly class hours. Our programs run from September through May/June, with separate summer offerings. We provide clear monthly billing and auto-pay enrollment. Beyond mastering steps, we emphasize passion and purpose, creating a joyful community where students can express themselves and make lasting memories. KDA nurtures talent through introductory classes and elite training for our award-winning competitive teams, who refine skills through intensive training, travel, and prestigious competitions. Students shine in Spotlight Events, including our Annual Recital, "WERK THE RUNWAY," the Arts Gala, conventions, and local showcases.
