About Reach the Stars Dance

Reach the Stars Dance, located in Clatskanie, Oregon, offers a comprehensive dance education for students of all ages, fostering a love for movement and performance. We provide a diverse range of classes, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Acrodance, and specialized Aerial Arts. Our curriculum caters to all levels, from Pre-K students exploring introductory tumbling and hip hop tots to 6th-12th graders delving into advanced techniques. Younger students can enjoy dedicated ballet and tap classes, while kindergarten through 2nd graders engage in focused hip hop, ballet, and jazz/tap combos. For 3rd-5th graders, classes expand to include more focused ballet, tap/jazz, and hip hop. Older students in 9th-12th grade can refine their skills in high school jazz/tap, ballet, and pointe work. We are proud to offer specialized training in aerial arts and acrodance by invitation. Reach the Stars Dance emphasizes performance opportunities, including participation in seasonal shows with a Winter Show and a grand Spring Recital. All Ballet classes, from Kindergarten up, have the esteemed opportunity to perform in the Annual Abridged Nutcracker. Our Youth Ballet Company, for students in second grade and older, will be performing the full-length classical ballet "Firebird" in spring 2026 at the Birkenfeld Theater. We also feature a dynamic performance team for students first grade and older, building teamwork and providing competitive opportunities in the Portland/Vancouver and Seattle/Tacoma areas, culminating in a spring recital and community performances. Eligibility for the performance team requires prior dance experience. Commitment to classes and rehearsals is key for company and team members, with varying participation levels available from group routines to solos. Reach the Stars Dance nurtures artistic growth and stage presence in a positive and hardworking environment.

Classes

Spring recital for all classes

$55.00 per class

Our dance year ends with a big spring recital for all classes in June. Date TBA Costume fee for spring show is $55.00 per class and is billed in February. Students keep their costume after the show.

Ballet Classes

$20.00 costume rental fee

ALL Ballet Classes (Kindergarten and up) perform in our Annual Abridged Nutcracker Performance in December. Students performing in the Nutcracker are billed a $20.00 costume rental fee (Costumes must be returned after performance). This fee covers costume cleaning, repair and upgrades.

Preschool age, Tap/Jazz, Pom pom and Tumbling classes

30.00$ per class

All Preschool age, Tap/Jazz, Pom pom and Tumbling classes perform at least one dance in our annual musical performance in December. Costume fees are 30.00$ per class (Student gets to keep costume after the show). Costume fees are billed in October. Our Winter show includes speaking roles. For Students wanting a speaking role (Age 6 and up) Speaking role auditions will be held on date TBA . Students who receive a speaking role will be billed $6 0 .00 for costume and rehearsal times. Student will not need to purchase regular class costumes. Speaking role rehe arsal times will be announced. Student will get a schedule of required rehearsal attendances based on the role they received.
