Private Lessons

We personalize each private lesson based on your individual needs, desires, and goals, adjusting our teaching style to your ability, personality, and expectations. This ensures the most thorough and rapid learning process, all while keeping it fun, easy, and comfortable. The genre of dance which our private lesson dancers will perform will be discussed and agreed upon between our student and teacher!

Cheerleading

Our high energy cheer program focuses on cheerleading techniques, some tumbling, strength, and basic cheers and chants. Cheerleading progressions become more advanced as the student’s skills progress. We go over sportsmanship, encouragement and all around basic knowledge that cheerleaders will need to know as they grow with the sport. As the season progresses, coaches will slightly step back giving the kids a chance to take control a little more by rotating out and giving them the option to lead cheers. Cheer practices begin in July and the season end in December. Performances include weekend Football game s with the Tillamook Youth League during the months of September & October. Football performances require travel. Cheer students will also perform in TSOD”S Merry Christmas Spectacular in December.

Musical Theater

Musical Theatre focuses on developing your singing, acting and dance skills in a variety of musical theatre performing styles. This class lays the foundation for musical theatre song performance through analyzing song lyrics and executing how to communicate the story through vocal and physical expression. This creative, high energy and highly entertaining class will learn to develop his or her character in order to bring the song to life through singing, acting and of course dancing!

Broadway

A medley class that focuses on Broadway style dancing, stage presence and charisma. This class uses Broadway music and props exposing dancers to different styles and genres of what dancing on Broadway is really like. Think Cabaret, Chicago, Bob Fosse and All That Jazz!

Teen Latin & Broadway Combo.

What a well-rounded and educated dancer you will be after taking this amazing combo class! Come and “Shake Your Tail feather” with us! Our fun, high energy Teen Latin class focuses on exciting choreography, colorful music and fundamentals and expression of all types of Latin dance such as Salsa, Mamba, Cha Cha and even Belly Dancing! Comparable to Zumba, our Latin class is a great workout! We then will be changing gears and studying the ever so popular genre of Broadway! A medley class that focuses on Broadway style dancing, stage presence and charisma. This class uses Broadway music and props exposing dancers to different styles and genres of what dancing on Broadway is really like. Think Cabaret, Chicago, Bob Fosse and All That Jazz! (Performs at all Events)

Hip Hop

Dancers will focus on studying and performing the choreography from some of the industry’s leading artists. Our Hip Hop classes are about expression and adding your own personal style. This high energy class is about passion, creativity and the freedom to move! (Performs at all events)

Tap & Jazz Combo

Dancers get their Tap and Jazz all in one hour long combo class. Tap classes will experience the rhythm and movement of tap and transform the dancer into a musician. Dancers will find rhythms and beats not only in the music, but in their own bodies. Students will incorporate the high energy tap combinations into a fun tap routine! Jazz class will be spent stretching and learning turns and leaps across the floor with emphasis on the importance of energy, accuracy and style. Our fun jazz classes perform to a variety of musical genres both old and new. (Performs at all events)

Technique

Our technique class focuses on laying the foundation for our dancers to become well rounded. This class is a building block and an opportunity for kids to fine tune and study their body alignment, body rotation and technique which will in turn carry over in the ballet and jazz classes, giving them the opportunity for advancement in the coming years. While this class is mandatory for Beg. Jr. Ballet, Int. Jr. Pointe and Sr. Pointe classes, anyone is welcome to enroll.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Ballet/Pointe

If this is your first introduction to formal ballet class structure, you will focus on terminology, coordination, balance and strengthening of the body core. Center foor work is introduced with focus on the position of arms, legs and feet. For progressing ballet students, advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is continued with greater emphasis on terminology. All of our ballet classes will be exposed to both classical and modern music in order to relate to all genres. (Performs at all events) All Junior, Intermediate and Senior Ballet/Pointe classes are required to take Jr. & Sr. Technique.

Toddler Boogie Time

Our Toddler Boogie Time class is perfect for those little “Movers & Shakers” that just “HAVE” to dance whenever the music comes on. This class introduces Toddlers to basic rhythms, stretching, simple beginning dance combinations and footwork. Creative Movement students especially love using props such as boa's, tambourines, princess wands and pom poms. This high energy class is a great foundation for those little dancers who like to Rock &Roll! (Participates in the June Dairy Parade)
