Classes

Dance With Me

We offer various sessions of Dance With Me classes throughout the year. As soon as your tiny dancer can start walking they can come enjoy this fun class with you. Your tiny dancer will have the opportunity to learn the basics of dance in a unique and creative way.

Hip Hop

In our hip hop classes, students learn various dances to practice different hip hop techniques, moves, and tricks.

Acro

In our acro classes, we focus on flexibility and proper trick technique. We start with the basics and easier tricks to ensure students feel confident when working on more advanced tricks.

Modern/Contemporary

Our competition students have the opportunity to participate in either modern or contemporary dances taught by guest choreographers. In these dances, various styles of dance are combined to create either a modern or a contemporary dance. We do not offer a modern/contemporary recital class.

Musical Theater

In our musical theater classes, students learn how to express various Broadway songs through their dancing and facial expressions.

Lyrical

In our lyrical classes, we combine jazz and ballet techniques to allow dancers to express themselves through their fluid movement.

Jazz

During our jazz classes, we focus on technique, flexibility, leaps, and turns. We also teach our students fun upbeat combos to practice various types of jazz dance.

Tap

In our tap classes, we focus on tap technique and rhythm. Tap requires tap shoes which have metal plates attached to the heel and toes of the shoes to produce different sounds when they come in contact with the floor.

Pointe

In our pointe classes, we again focus on pointe technique at the barre and during across the floor combinations as well as during center work. Pointe is when dancers dance on the tips of their toes while wearing pointe shoes. Our pointe classes are offered to our more advanced ballet dancers. Students cannot take pointe until they are 10 years old to prevent any injuries to their feet and ankles.

Ballet

In our ballet classes, we focus on technique at the barre and during across the floor combinations as well as during center work. We believe ballet is the foundation for most other styles of dance which is why we require students to be enrolled in a ballet class if they want to do pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and modern.
