Pink Pilates Class
Each session of the workshop will help to gently stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, and abdominal muscles, allowing women to regain and/or maintain a full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer and surgery.
Pink Pilates Workshop
Weekly class that offers rehabilitative help in the breast cancer recovery process; inspiring hope and restoring movement. The class offers a specialized program; one that focuses on gradually increasing range of motion through the shoulders and strengthening the back.
Pink Pilates Program
This post-operative workout for breast cancer survivors offers a gentle and careful way to venture back toward physical and emotional health. More than just exercise, our Pink Pilates Program offers a restorative workout, confidence-building, and encouragement in a warm and friendly environment.
Pilates for Better Breathing
While Pilates is predominantly known for core strengthening and flexibility, studies have also indicated that Pilates improves respiratory endurance, lung volumes and, inspiratory and expiratory flow rates. 'Breath' is one of the foundation principles in the Pilates method and is known as the ‘engine’ behind Pilates. If our breathing is inadequate, for example if we take lots of short, rapid breaths then we restrict the oxygen and blood supply to the brain, creating stress and panic. With a private Pilates reformer workout you will receive individual attention and instruction customized to your physical condition. Be sure to talk with the instructor about your pulmonary function.
Pink Pilates – A Post-Operative Recovery Workshop for Breast Cancer Survivors
Breast cancer remains the most common form of cancer in women. Not only can physical activity help reduce the risk of breast cancer by up to 30%, Pilates is also an excellent way for breast cancer survivors to build up strength and a better body image post surgery and/or treatment. Pink Pilates is a Pilates Mat workout that helps stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, and abdominal muscles, allowing women to regain and/or maintain a full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer and surgery. The weekly Pilates mat-based classes are held in Ballet Austin’s beautiful center for dance and community wellness, a non-medical, happy, mainstream environment that allows for encouragement and rehabilitation.
Pilates for Back Pain & Promoting a Healthy Spine
Disc Injuries, Spinal issues, and alignment problems can affect all areas of life, not to mention pain issues, especially lower back pain. By focusing on core stabilization and precise, controlled movements, Pilates offers a gentle practice for rehabilitation and restoration. The precise movements and instruction on core engagement help to strengthen the core, including the back, and reduce pain. You will receive individual attention and instruction customized to your physical condition. After 10 sessions you will feel the difference.
Prenatal Private Pilates Sessions
This is a PRIVATE Pilates session opportunity to work one-on-one with one of our certified Pilates instructors. 5 sessions are included in this package. Build strength for labor and stay in shape during your entire pregnancy. Pilates strengthens your tummy, back and pelvic floor muscles without straining other joints, so it’s a great exercise to do when you’re pregnant. Sessions will promote good posture and spinal alignment, easing the strain and tensions involved with a changing body during pregnancy. Enjoy five, 45-minute private sessions on the Pilates reformer.
Pilates for Athletes and Cross-training
Pilates is the ideal workout for cross training. Whether you are an elite athlete, a dancer, or fitness buff who wants to stay at the top of their game, Pilates is the best choice to get there. Strengthen your core, improve balance, stability, flexibility, and develop strength and coordination throughout your entire body. The Pilates Reformer is just that good.
Pilates Reformer Specialty, Restorative & Rehab Reformer Sessions
A strong core contributes to flexibility, better posture, balance and stability, protects organs, and promotes overall health. Pilates can be helpful for treating specific problems like back pain, working with clients who are pre-natal, recovering from surgery, have balance issues, or are in recovery from breast cancer and more. It is also the perfect cross-training workout!

The perfect balance of ballet basics and creative dance. Creative Ballet students develop their technique, gain body awareness, and refine basic skills while continuing to have imaginative and creative dance experiences. Students are taking a more active role in their own learning, acquiring the tools to collaborate, choreograph and exchange ideas with their peers. Our goal is for students to advance through Creative Ballet ready to step into Pre-Ballet.
Creative Dance (Ages 3 & 4)
Building on the fundamentals introduced in Dance With Me and Next Steps, Creative Dance is designed to gently introduce students to a structured and safe classroom environment while instilling the physical and emotional confidence to explore and create. Classes are narrative in nature as dancers are led through a series of movement stories and ballet-based activities that appeal to all. Over the course of each year, activities become more challenging as dancers gain confidence in their coordination and skills.
Next Steps (Age 2)
Next Steps is the perfect transition for young children who are becoming more independent. From the comfort of their parents or caregivers arms, students continue to learn in a sensory-rich movement experience with stories, dance games, rhythm and songs. As the year progresses, students are guided towards more independence as they step away from the comfort of their caregiver. By the end of the year, we hope these dancers are ready to take on Creative Dance with confidence!
Dance with Me (Ages 15 months – 2 years)
