Tap

This is a style of dance that really focuses on building a dancer’s rhythm and ability to count music. Dancers will wear fitted shoes with metal taps on the heel and toe of each shoe and will learn steps that utilize these taps. Tap dance provides a fun, challenging way to further your dance education.

Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of dance. This is a highly recommended class for all dancers because the technique learned during ballet training can be applied to all other styles of dance. Ballet is a physically demanding artform that continues to push dancers throughout their dance career. They will focus on enhancing their technique, control, and poise.

Technique

This class is perfect for those dancers that want to enhance their technique and skills. Dancers will work in the center and across the floor to help execute and strengthen their leaps, turns, and other skills used in various styles of dance. Whether they are looking to improve the skills learned in a TBJ class or make their school dance team, technique is the perfect class to clean up dance skills.

Jazz/Lyrical

Jazz/lyrical classes are choreography and movement -based classes. Dancers will come in each week learning a new combo. Although having strong technique and skills are great, the ability to pick up choreography, stay on the counts, and build artistry is just as important as dancers progress in their dance careers.

Acro-dance

Acro-dance is a class in which dancers will focus on gaining strength, flexibility, and control. It takes elements of tumbling and contortion and applies them in ways that allow the skills to be incorporated into other styles of dance. Acro-dance classes will have an instructor (and assistant when needed) which allows each student to receive the attention then need to succeed.

Hip-Hop

Dancers will learn fun, upbeat choreography to age appropriate pop and hip-hop music. They will also learn across-the-floor combos, activities, and games that encourage dancers to become comfortable in their movement style. As dancers progress, they will be introduced to new skills and sub-genres of hip-hop as well.

Hip-Hop & Tumble

This class is PERFECT for those littles in your life who have BIG personalities and non-stop energy! They will learn hip-hop fundamentals from various follow along songs and activities. After a brief stretch, they will transition into the tumbling portion of class. At this point, dancers will take turns using mats, balance beam and more to work on beginner tumbling skills that help with strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Combination/TBJ

These classes are perfect for dancers with little to no dance experience. Students 2-4 years old will learn the basics of tap, ballet, and tumbling while children 5 and older will learn the basics of tap, ballet, and jazz. Combo classes provide a fun, nurturing, and educational way to introduce your child to learn the fundamentals of tap, ballet, and jazz or tumbling.

Twos in Tutus

This class is our intro class to the tiniest of dancers! In here, we will begin to explore ballet basics and creative movement through follow-along songs, games, and other activities. We encourage dancers to dance in the room by themselves but understand mom/dad might need to help out the first few weeks while the kiddos are getting comfortable with the new surroundings! This is a great way for your kiddo to meet new friends and get some of that energy out in a healthy way!
