North Alabama Dance Center (NADC), located in Huntsville, Alabama, has been a cornerstone of dance education since its founding in 1983 by Barbara Ellen Smartt. Building on a legacy of fostering confidence, grace, and discipline, NADC offers a comprehensive curriculum for students of all ages and experience levels. Their diverse program includes Classical Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Acrobatics, Aerial, Salsa, Bachata, and Zumba, catering to young dancers aged 3-5, children aged 5-9, and intermediate to advanced students aged 10 and up. The dedicated faculty, including Director Mary Katherine Atnip, Assistant Director Kaitlyn Atnip, and Competition Solo Director Lydia Parton, are certified by Dance Masters of America. Instructors like Mary Beth Hill and Rebecca Stell specialize in areas such as ballet, pointe, and strength conditioning, nurturing dancers' growth. NADC provides exciting performance opportunities, including an annual recital at the Von Braun Center and a Summer Solo Recital.
